DVD : Zombie Flesh Eaters 2 [1988]
Zombi 3(Zombie Flesheaters 2 in the UK) is a bad movie but that does not mean there is no fun to be had. The film moves along at a fast pace and has some delirious moments like a flying zombie head, a baby zombie ripping from its mothers womb and a zombie DJ. The acting is also over the top and - SPOILER - Ottaviano Dell Aquas death scene is hillarious(How does he go suddenly from the village to a big field?). Although for some reason there is very little gore.

The uk dvd from Vipco has a letterboxed 1.85:1 transfer that is dull and washed out. People have already mentioned that Vipcos dvd is missing the opening sequence but it is also missing other scenes including the terrorist checking into the hotel and another scene of the ... Read More:

DVD : City Of The Living Dead [1981]
The first in Fulcis so called gothic trilogy, it has a great atmosphere, great music and convincingly good gory special effects. It is not as good as The Beyond or The House by the Cemetery but stands on its own two feet as an excellent addition to the genre.
Vipcos dvd has a non-anamorphic 1.85:1 transfer that looks like it was mastered from a vhs tape, it is watchable enuogh but tends to get a little muddy. On the extras front Vipco have surprisingly produced some extra material including a commentary with actress Catriona Mccoll and writer Jay Slater and a five minute interview with Macoll.

i dont care if this is a b movie or not, it genuinlly terrified me!!i couldnt get to sleep for ages after!!the acting may not be up to scratch (barbara is incrediably irritating sitting and not saying a work, you feel like smacking her)but the story, though old, always freaks me out and i think it will freak you out too!!!

I love this film, I would even go so far as to say I prefer White Zombie over Bela Lugosi's Dracula. The atmoshere throughout the film is astounding, Lugosi's first appearance glowering through the stage coach window has to be one of his best. If your into cool atmoshpereic black and white horror you'll love this movie.

DVD : Hell of the Living Dead [1982]
You may know this movie as Zombie Creeping Flesh, you may know it as Hell Of The Living Dead, you may know it simply as Virus or one of the twenty plus names it's known as around the world. What you'll also know is that you'll either love or hate this movie.

Never has one film split opinion between hard core horror fans, some love it for the action sequences filled full of pure cheese and the scenes littered with non-sequiturs; whilst others see it as not only a poor man's Dawn Of The Dead, but also a rip-off of Romero's movie (along with its soundtrack).

For me however, the film as a whole is an enjoyable experience. Bruno Mattei seems to be such a poor director that he's actually hit gold. Other directors of his ilk ( take for example Uwe ... Read More:

I dont know why everyone slags this movie so much. It aint a remake of Romero's movie, but it does reference it quite a lot. All in all its an entertaining zombie movie. Plenty of action and gore. You read good reviews on zombie movies that are truely afawful, so why this one get such a hard time I dont know. Also, its the same guy who did Friday 13th Part 2 and Halloween:H2O. If you do decide to buy it, buy this one cos the cover is in 3D and looks well cool!Day of the Dead [2007]

i remember renting "shock waves " to watch on my ferguson video star! from the ss sign in blood red then brrr!that weird systhesiser music blew
you away as the film started. it was obvious it was low budget with peter
cushing & john carradine starring .a group of people on a boat trip get
lost in the ocean & are hit by a german freighter.but this film has to be
tongue in cheek the way carradine reacts being woken up after being told
they were hit by a freighter"wheres it gone?what did it do fly? sure we hit something ,a school of canned tuna !"i love it its not meant to be
funny but it is ! in the morning they are stuck on rocks & in shallow
water .when they take a small boat to the island they find "ben" (carradine)dead.you then ... Read More:
