I have used Verbatim on numerous occasions in the past and always been very happy with the item. This particular spindle , however, is of extremely poor quality. Keep coming up with error message "disc is dirty".Other blank dvd's I have still work fine with my Sony HDD recorder, so definitely the fault of the discs. Packaging is also different to picture displayed. I have just noticed another poor review. Recommend purchase of alternative brand until quality control issues resolved on this item.

I recently bought a spindle of 50 of these DVDs and have used about half of them and not one has failed so far. Unless all the dodgy ones are clumped together at the bottom of the spindle they would seem to be as good as it gets at a very good price. I have used Verbatim CDs and DVDs for quite some time and have not had any problems with them. Maybe the reviewer with the high failure rate should look at his hardware as another reviewer suggested.

such a great price and quality is excellent .. these dvd+rws used to be so expensive .. and this pack you can get less than £10.00 is just great .. we are always using our camcorder .. plus you can play them on your pc .. great dvd+rws .. make sure they are compatiple with your camcorder though and your dvd player ..

I always used TDK video tapes for their quality and will continue using these discs. Record every time producing great sound and picture

High quality, reliable discs. Shame about the slight pattern on them which can make it hard to write on them with a CD marker pen.

Using these discs to record video is not a good idea. When playing back the video, all i got was unknown meaning that i could not watch what i recorded. I recommend going for either the maxell or verbatim brand as i have not had any problems so far. Basically these discs are used as only frisbee's and coasters with the occasional one that works only once.

I have also tried lots of different brands of discs, but for me, Sony discs are the best bar none. Experience skipping then this problem will disappear with Sony discs. Do not buy any other discs. £17.99 expensive (07/10/08) for 100 discs, are you having a laugh!!!

Well i get through quite a lot DVD-R's, this is the first discs that won't write on any of drives. Tried on both of my desktop drives, along with a recently purchased Sony external drive. Also tried on laptop none of them will work. Over the years i have had discs were they won't work on one of the drives but this is the first time they haven't worked on all. This means I have got to go through downloading firmware, or just get some decent disc.

After using a 25 pack of these, I bought two 25pk Kodak DVD-Rs, only to be disappointed and regretting buying them in the first place. So I went back to these Verbatim DVD-Rs, which have once again proved their worth and impeccable efficiency. I've used these for all sorts of multimedia stuff (movies, songs, documents, software) and so far no problems encountered. Also these DVDs last for a very long time, if kept in good condition. I still have Verbatim DVDs from last year, which are in perfect working state. Just to ensure all DVDs have a high success rate after burning, I burn all my CDs/DVDs at half the speed. These are definitely worth every penny!! And with a lifetime warranty, what else could you want?!
