I bought this on several people's recommendations, not just the reviews on here (although it is rare to find a product with almost exclusively 5* reviews, so I thought I was probably onto a winner). I plugged it into my Vista PC and it worked almost instantly with absolutely no fuss. I want it to record voice podcasts, and the quality is more than good enough for that. I expect it would be slightly lacking if you wanted to record music, but for voice it's great. My only tiny gripe is that the packaging is that annoying plastic moulded stuff that you have to destroy to get into, which is a shame because I wanted to be able to take it to work and I was hoping there'd be a box I could re-use; now I'll have to find something else to ... Only used for Skype so far, perfect for that, clear acoustics incoming and outgoing. The built-in volume control works well. The headset is comfortable and the microphone is easy to adjust. Just plugged it in and made a call, no set-up needed. It is perhaps a little bulky for travel, but great value at £4.51 including postage. Not worth paying more if your needs are basic. Quick delivery too.

a great piece of kit works very well and its small size means it can be carried easily in one pocket. The small black cover for the microphone does in fact fall off, but a small rubber band holds it on well. In any event it is only useful out side in windy conditons.

I was a bit worried about one of the reviews saying it was difficult to get this webcam up and running. I no expert on computers but I had no problems with it and was using it within a matter of minutes. In fact I'm ordering another for a friend

Well its a good webcam but my daughter records videos for you tube of her singing but the webcam does not work with windows movie maker which is a real shame but over all its an ok webcam. Its nothing great just a normal webcam that has an ok picture.

Having read a review I bought this to use with my laptop. It may have a built in microphone but I am unable to use it as when I have the USB lead plugged in one side of my laptop the microphone lead doesn't reach the socket the other side. No instructions come with this webcam, it assumes you know what you're doing. Although I'd read claims that it could be used without the driver software that came with it I couldn't get it to work at all without. The add ons that came on the CDROM didn't appear to recognise that I had the camera attached. Can't fault the supplier though they offered a full refund if I returned it.

An okay product. On the plus side it's nice an comfortable, and the mic is quite good. But the bass can be very over the top, and rather annoying at some points. If you like bass, go for this, if not stay well away.

Appears fine at first, but the controls have a very annoying fault - fast forwarding or rewinding is done with the same buttons that jump to another file either forward or backward, and it's very easy to accidentally jump to the end of a recording - very irritating when you're 20 minutes in to a 90 minute interview. I agree with the other comments re: Digital Wave Player - it's a pain, and life would be far simpler if the recorder could be plugged into any PC and seen as an external hard drive from which to drag and drop audio files. Worse still, my VN-2100PC has now packed up altogether. It won't transfer files via DWP without an error message popping up halfway through the process, and it dies without warning even on fresh batteries. Useless.

I bought this as a study help - I'm doing a Medical Administration course and use the VN2100 for medical terminology. Love: Its handy size, clear and easy to use, storage space, 5 folder divisions, add-on mic. Great price too. Perfect for my needs, couldn't ask for more!
