Has been completely problem free to use. Downloads music and playlists effortlessly. Recognised instantly by Windows (Vista). The player itself is nice and small, sound quality is great, its intuitive to use. Battery life seems good to me (though I don't exactly keep a stopwatch on it!). All told I am very happy with my purchase. The only flaws are the annoyance of having to charge up the device via your PC's usb port (its doesn't come with a mains charger included) and the charging seems to take forever. Also, the belt clip doesn't seem the most sturdy...its easy to accidentally unclip from the main body of the device.

After a year of abuse the display on my old stone 2gb finally died, so I bought the new improved model with the microphone. It has all the good features of the old one - reasonable sound quality and its incredibly easy to use. It also has the bad features of the old one - inability to shuffle properly, and it really does need recharging quickly.
I don't really see the purpose of the mike - perhaps its a gimmick supposed to appeal to kids, as but they'll insist on having an i-pod anyway due to peer pressure, its a wasted feature in my opinion.
I use my stone when I'm out running - the new model is far too bulky, so I've (sadly) given in and bought a shuffle - which does what exactly what it says it will and doesn't need recharging ... Read More:

I bought this as a 1GB pendrive / MicroSD-USB adaptor with MP3 as a bonus so was a little dissapointed that it can't handle SDHC - restricting you to 2GB microSDs. Probably why its being discounted.

As an MP3 player its OK. Volume is a bit limited. I've not established how long the charge lasts.
Dragging and dropping mp3 files to the unit when plugged into USB2 port is fine. As manufacturers are under considerable pressure to remove this functionality and require a copyright observing "music manager" app,
players which do this are likely to become rarer.

On all the 32 bit Win XPs I've tried this on, no Remove Hardware icon pops up and there is no Eject menu option for the "Portaple Media Player" in Explorer, ... Read More:

This MP3 player made by Sandisk is tiny and beautiful! The silver/mirrored finish is better in real life than it appears in the picture and the screen just seems to disappear into the mirrored front which looks really rather cool! The player is made of plastic, but as plastic goes, it isn't bad at all. It feels quite sturdy not creaky and fragile as some plastic gadgets do.
The fact that this little beauty has a screen at all is quite astonishing, and jolly useful it is too! Unlike its rival from Apple, you can select which tune you want to listen to, rather than having to wait for it to come round. The screen itself uses two colours, blue and yellow and is very crisp and easy to read despite its small size.
The player supports a wide ... Read More:

We bought this radio to replace our Evoke Pure 2 which has a very annoying fault on the volume knob (it needs to be warmed up for ages before you can run it below shouting level). On plugging the Philips in, it pulled in 16 local DAB stations but none of the mainstream BBC stations (1,2, 4, 5, 6 or 7) which our Pure seemed to get no problem. Anybody know why? A check on the DAB section of the BBC website shows these mainstream stations in a separate box - does that mean they're not actually DAB stations, and our Evoke was just getting the FM stations (you can't tell the source on the display panel)? More seriously, the Philips' FM reception is feeble, I can only just scrape onto Radio 2 and 4 by manual tuning with the aerial fully out and walking around the ... Read More:

This does just what it says - and easily. I have had soooo many problems in the past simply trying to copy tape to disc - either old VHS, or modern 8mm, and digital tape - so am absolutely chuffed that this is simple one button copying ! No DVD format problems either - because it will use any - "+" , "-" ,and dual layer......highly recommended ! (don't expect a slim line machine though - it is a big old VHS style) Also great for front connections to camcorder - incl; firewire, phono, and usb !

What a fabulous little piece of kit this is! New knockdown price of £45 makes it a bargain!

Follow the instructions, install software first before connecting the Zen to the PC, and once it is connected leave it there until the battery full sign appears (all explained in the instruction manual).

The accompanying software is excellent, and the sync manager is a great time saver, although that does bring me to my only negative point - 2GB simply isn't enough for your average music collection. So, you have to be selective about what you put on it - I only managed to get 456 MP3 tracks onto it alongside the pre-installed stuff......

So small it will easily fit into even the tightest pocket, reputed to have great battery life, lovely ... Read More:

Not having had an MP3 player before, I was slightly wary that this would be a lemon and the negative review from a previous purchaser nearly put me off buying this one.
We wanted a simple player that was easy to use, gave a good sound without needing to store vast numbers of tracks. The Sandisk has exceeded expectations. It is really easy to set up, has not crashed my XP2 system and the sound quality is superb. Even the FM radio quality on the stations we can receive in our poor reception area is excellent - a bonus.
I am very impressed and can recommend it unreservedly.

This is the second YP player I have purchased from Samsung, the first was the 1gb k3jzb (oh my God) try to avoid these products, both have same quirks, they stick on repeat mode without any prompting; the shuffle is limited to about 10 tracks; It decides to switch itself off when it feels like. I also had a large blue line running vertically through the display. When I returned the player to Samsung - Under Warranty - I was greeted with the most negative "customer" services team you could ever encounter. They informed me it was customer damaged and would not honour the warranty. Without sounding too bitter be very careful about purchasing Samsung MP3 players, especially the YP range. Amazon are very reliable though Cheers
