Electronics : FreeLogix - White iPod Cassette Adaptor - for iPod & MP3 Players

I think the sound quality is pretty decent for only 2 pounds, I'm sure there's better though.

I too thought I'd take the cogs out as they create a bit of a noise, but once I had unscrewed all screws and went to open it, everything went flying. There are two pins, each with a spring which hold the little metal gadget inplace which gives out your music, and these sprung out. It took me 20 minutes to put them back in, honestly the most annoying and stressing thing I've done in a while. So, yes take the cogs out, but when you take the case apart, do it very very slowly, unlike me, or you will regret it!

I was nervous that this would not work because I was aware that when a cassette goes into my stereo it moves downwards behind a small metal plate - I was therefore concerned the cable would be cut or jammed - it wasn't a problem.

It does work best with the iPOD volume on full, rather than the stereo volume high up - there is a bit of hissing in between songs, but I guess that was always the case with tapes!!

I would recommend this product for those that want to use their iPOD in the car

I bought this to replace a Philips stereo which lasted a year. In the hope of this lasting longer, I spent another 50+ pounds on this model, and I was very happy.

In the box comes a slim remote controller (without AAA batteries), with an English manual (for UK) and a power lead. The stereo itself is very well designed, and sturdy. It does not seem to be made out of the cheap plastic my previous Philips, Sharp, Hitachi stereos were made out of.

The stereo itself is not light, not heavy. Its handle is huge, the aerial is normal, cassette deck is well positioned with the buttons, and the CD tray is on the top. One down side is that the CD door is quite large, so it takes some time to open and close - but the oil will ... Read More:

This CD player marks a real shifting point in Sony's history, since they have made some of the most worthless player's on the market! Just put a brand new CD
in and it would jump about like a hyper-active problem child!!! lol. But this player doesn't do that... my hat goes off to Sony for sorting out a
real design no no! Skipping CD players. I've had this CD player for about 6 months now and it play's all of my CD's just fine. Plus they have sorted out the bass function this time around also (as it sounded very distorted when turned up beyond mid, but not this time around). So this player is an all round winner! I would really recommend this personal CD player.

This is a really nice and 'simple' product to use.

Tuning is easy because it has the 'old fashioned' analogue dial. It makes finding a station simple.

The on-off switch is big and on the front of the set. The radio uses regular 'AA' batteries, which seem to last forever. I bought one of these radio's for my wife - she uses it in the kitchen every day, and to listen to when ironing. The on/off switch is really useful when the phone rings and you have 'kitchen' or 'garden' fingers - you don't get the radio all messy or wet!

My mother-in-law liked it so much that we got her the same model for her birthday, and it also lives in her kitchen most of the time.

The sound is good, and can be quite loud. ... Read More:

Although FM reception is good, I found AM very poor - lots of noise and virtually no reception when product is held upright. Tape quality is good as expected. Controls are fiddly - too few buttons. Battery life good, especially considering only takes 1 X AA. Design of battery compartment poor though - after using for about 18 months, broke after dropping a couple of feet, rendering it virtually unusable. Would not buy this product again.
