Whilst this camera takes decent but not outstanding pics, beware of the sound quality if you're thinking of buying it to take video clips at gigs.

Believe me, the poor quality of the sound will make your clips unuseable.

If you can get the thing to focus in the low light setting of a gig, you'll get a decent picture, but that's it.

If you can't get it to focus, you're left with a blur!(and yes, I have tried it with continuous auto focus on and off, and I've updated the firmware.

So,it's ok if you just want a point and shoot for every day snapping, but otherwise forget it!

A great camera for £88, but this entry level W series camera does not have Sony's Super Steady Shot image stabilisation that you get in all the other W series cameras as you go up the range.

If you go up to the W170 you get Intellegent Scene Recognition as well.

The W110 is a good camera and certainly worth buying above the S series which have plastic body and only 3x zoom. The W110 has aluminium body and 4x zoom.

Bought this after losing my Canon Ixus50 (5Mega-pixel). The camera is robust and has plenty of useful features - however the intelligent mode select and anti-shake are not great. I did get better results from my Canon. However at the price its good value. Takes SD cards which are cheap and easy to plug into most laptops and the battery lasts well. Prefer the Canons picture taking ability but a good cheap digital camera.

All features work well and very easy to use. Think of a Rolex submariner watch. Elegant enough for boardrooms, parties and tough enough for adventures. (But for diving, make sure it's in its underwater-case). Expect decent quality both from the camera and the pictures it will take. Make sure to use protective stickers on the LCD, so it could last considerably long with its titanium coating. The only negative words should go to the impractical viewfinder. It's just way too tiny to be of any use. The accessories are bit overpriced, but could worth buying.
Sony has just set a new tone for Point-and-Shoots and ad-hoc accessories.

Lots of reviews on the silver version of this, not so many on the chocolate one.
I SAY chocolate, but its more a dark burgundy really. Anyway, it doesn't matter to me, its different and it looks cool.
Looks aren't everything though are they? It needs to perform well too.
I used to have a digital Ixus400 which I loved and needed something just as good. This is. No, its better. I still haven't experimented with all the features yet, but its taking some lovely pictures so far.

Plus points: It looks great.. It takes great photo's without lots of fuss.. Its nailed together well.. Works straight out of the box (still not charged the battery)

Minus points: Erm... erm... I can't think of any. Maybe its more expensive than some. But its ... Read More:

Electronics : Sony DSCT2W Digital Camera - White (8.1MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.7" LCD 4GB Internal Memory
I purchased this camera back in July to replace my previous DCS-N2 model which had gone faulty. I was looking for a small, compact, good looking camera that would take shots quickly and could be used for a whole host of occasions and which kept the touchscreen operations I was used to. This camera matches my needs perfectly.

Its much smaller than I expected and is an ideal camera for somebody who doesn't want to spend their time riddling through lots of options to get the optimum photograph. It's a point a shoot camera with the extras added on. The touchscreen, I find personally, makes everything a lot easier to navigate and the auto-switch on using the front slide means photographs can be taken quickly in the moment.

The photo quality is good and ... Read More:

Ah the perfect camera for a girl. Easy to use does all the thinking for you and gives perfect results. Just those few points above would make me buy it but also its small compact fits in handbag and the quality of the picture sublime.

Oh yes and best of all its pink!

Having been thinking about buying a new camera to replace my ageing 5mp point-and-shoot for a few months, I was tied between the Lumix TZ5 and this camera. Having played with them on the high street there was absolutely no competition.

I took this camera away with me to Turkey a couple of weeks ago. Knowing very little about photography I kept the camera on automatic most of the time, though the sunset and sports modes are very good, the sunset scene mode really brings out the reds and oranges in sunsets. Using a tripod you can get some really amazing night shots. In the right hands you could get some brilliant shots with this toy, that's not to say that an amateur can't achieve similar results.

I'm very pleased that I invested in a 2gb Sandisk ... Read More:
