Four months after purchasing the Veho I still haven't managed to get it working, despite a steady stream of messages to the manufacturers via e-mail. I would phone them, but cannot locate a telephone No., nor an address.
They did send me another CD to download, but it made no difference. I haven't had any response to my latest communication - a grudging one star awarded because the scanner looks neat, but I can't review something I can't use.

I bought this to transfer old family slides onto disk. All I can say is it doesn't do it very well. Takes time to get slides in and then manually push them through the scanner. Picture quality is poor, no shadings. I hear it is much better if you are scanning film negatives. I hope so.

An essential "accessory" if, like most photographers, you've got odd, single 35 mil negs. Works like a dream.
My only issue is, when you pay over £500 for a film scanner why can't you get this relatively cheap accessory included as standard?

Compared to the very best flatbed scanner this is a quantum leap. It produces results that are making me loose faith in digital cameras. I have dug out my old leica and have gone back to B&W. What an awesome bit of equipment. Be aware that this is the budget version of the 5000 series which have multi pass scanning for even better quality. This does not have it, but it is good enough for me. Fabulous!!

6.Nikon SF 210 - Scanner automatic slide feeder - 50 slides from: Nikon

Electronics : Nikon SF 210 - Scanner automatic slide feeder - 50 slides
A real boon if you have a lot of slides to scan, this attachment for the LS-5000 scanner works pretty well and saves hours. Setting up is simple - you just slot it into the front of the scanner, which has to be lying in the horizontal position. It takes 50 slides and there is a slightly fiddly adjustment for thickness of mount - so it's best not to mix thin and thick in the same batch.

It worked faultlessly with plastic mounts but old card mounts quite often got stuck - this is a pain because resetting the scanner scrambles the Nikonscan software so you have to quit and restart. I finally figured out the problem - the inner edge of the mount of the slide being loaded catches on the opposite inner edge of the next slide: this is caused by slight ... Read More:
