This does just what it says - and easily. I have had soooo many problems in the past simply trying to copy tape to disc - either old VHS, or modern 8mm, and digital tape - so am absolutely chuffed that this is simple one button copying ! No DVD format problems either - because it will use any - "+" , "-" ,and dual layer......highly recommended ! (don't expect a slim line machine though - it is a big old VHS style) Also great for front connections to camcorder - incl; firewire, phono, and usb !

I was very impressed by this little alarm clock. It looks brilliant and the built in speaker in very loud and clear for anything of this size. The projection is strong and clear and can be flipped if you like to bounce it off a mirror. You can adjust the angle to make the projection bigger or smaller and it even has a focus switch so you can make the projection crystal clear. I like the way you can set your alarm volume (and station) for the morning but the best thing is the keylock so when I'm fumbling around in the morning I can't adjust the time or mess up any of the alarm setting (it has 2)

Before buying this alarm clock radio, I did a detailed research on the Internet. I intended to buy a Sony alarm clock radio, but I changed my mind after I saw this on Philips website. It's much better than Sony's models. First of all, it has a stylish design. It displays weather forecast and indoor temperature which makes it superior to other alarm clock radios on the market. There are very few alarm clock radios with a digital tuner, and Philips AJ210 is one of them. No need to look for an alarm clock radio anymore. Buy this one, you won't regret!

The alarm is quite nice to look at, it's quite compact and is very easy to set up radio stations and alarms (2). There are only 5 pre-sets for radio stations and although there are two alarms, as far as I can tell you can only have one radio alarm and one buzzer alarm. There is a large button at the top of the alarm that has a double function: sleep button for alarm and dimmer switch for the backlight. All in it's a nice little alarm. I would however, echo the previous comments that in the age of space tourism, cloning and quantum engineering that I'd expect a little bit more from an alarm. Especially when you can buy a freeview box/multi region dvd player for the same price.

Philips DVDR3570 - 160Gb Hard Drive DVD Recorder - Black this recorder is a pain to set up but as it hasnt freview built in but with the help of some forums i got there, the seceret is run the recodings through my sky digital box that way you can record everything.

Surprisingly this item has very poor design features making it quite unsuitable as a CD/Radio alarm clock. It has a feature which starts the volume on the alarm (CD or Radio) at a low level and builds up over the next 20 seconds or so. Quite nice except that it ends up very loud and volume control is never returned to the volume control switch. The only way to reduce the volume when switched on by the alarm is to switch it off and then switch it on manually. Additionally the display is backlit LCD so it can't be seen in the dark. There are two settings on the backlight and on the brightest you can just make out the time but the backlight is always switched off whenever you switch the CD/Radio off so you continually have to put it back on. Weather forecast is of dubious use: temperature is OK (and works with the remote sensor) but notice that the measurement of humidity is only internal. So the device reports that it is likely to rain after you have had a bath or boiled some pasta nearby, despite cloudless skies! I didn't find it accurate at all. This would be bearable, but what made the device unusable for me is that every 15 minutes it updates the assessment of weather and shines a very bright LED for 15 seconds to let you know (blue for rain, yellow for sun). Firstly i'd like to tell anyone thinking of buying this product (Like i was) to completely ignore the bad reviews. I bought this product yesterday and it's absolutely brilliant! The earphones deliver high quality sound and the radio reception is superb. The benefit of DAB digital radio is that you get to choose from many different radio stations not always available on normal FM or AM radio. The Radio easily connects to your computer via USB cable and instead of having to convert all of the music from your cd's to MP3 this Phillips radio also plays WMA tracks. I just put my cd's into the computer and ripped the music to the MP3 player.
