What a fantastic camera for the price. Easy to use. Small. Sleek. Clear large screen. Good battery life. Video facility gives excellent results. Memory card too small. Buy larger memory separately. No case, but you can pick one up on e-bay for a fiver!! Would recommend to anyone. Pink version at least £10 less than silver. Who needs silver!!

i bought this camera from Amazon on November last year. It works quite well but I am not totally pleased with 230£ I had paid for as you cant zoom when you record a video. with 12mp and some other stuffs but I can see this camera is not much better than the others which less pixel and less money. Anyhow, so far so good, the len works properly unlike other reviews

Have just received my G9 and first impressions are very good. However, the 'get your started' manual is totally inadequate because of its brevity. This means that you have to print out the full manual on the supplied pdf file if you want to use the camera properly. And it is about 270 pages! I would rather pay £5 more for the camera if it was complete with a bound and printed manual.

Lots of reviews on the silver version of this, not so many on the chocolate one. I SAY chocolate, but its more a dark burgundy really. Anyway, it doesn't matter to me, its different and it looks cool. Looks aren't everything though are they? It needs to perform well too. I used to have a digital Ixus400 which I loved and needed something just as good. This is. No, its better. I still haven't experimented with all the features yet, but its taking some lovely pictures so far. Plus points: It looks great.. It takes great photo's without lots of fuss.. Its nailed together well.. Works straight out of the box (still not charged the battery) Minus points: Erm... erm... I can't think of any. Maybe its more expensive than some. But its worth ... It is not often that one falls in love with an object, but I have.I used to have a manual Nikon SLR back in the "good old days" and thought for the last 20 years that nothing could replace it. I was wrong. Technically this gem is phenominal, the zoom is astounding and for me a 50 year old highly suspicious of all things digital , it is a revelation. Linking up to the Canon site you can easily download your images, work on them, creat your own albums and send them to freinds. I use it as a visual diary. My only complaint is that the Canon site limits you to 100mb but I am working on that.It has opened doors for me which I thought were technically truly closed.Brilliant

I'm a huge ixus fan, I have a seperate DSLR but use the ixus for more day-day shots. It's a tad on Bestpriceddbrands-but I've heard bad reviews, so I would only purchase through Amazon. My last ixus (75) took me round Thailand, Maldives,etc+results were amazing-this is even better! I LOVE this. Like a lot of the reviews they mention the images are equal to the IXUS 970 I'd rate this one over the two. The build quality is fantastic, the interface is new & funky. It may take some getting used to-but I love it! I can't leave it alone, it goes everywhere with me+I can't wait to get back out to the Maldives and test it out! Quite simply the best value for money Canon prime lens you can buy! Amazing quality photos in low light conditions - great for portraits. As countless others have noted, the only negative is the cheap build quality, but then any lens needs to be cared for! Used with care produces great results, full stop.

Bought as a carry in your pocket point and shoot and very happy with it. Good battery life, Good auto focus/exposure control. Produces good results on the go. So easy to use even my 3 year old managed some good shots with it.
