My partner recently purchased the Sony KDL 32v4000 tv with the Techlink TWM2 wall bracket as a promotion.
Great tv but completely incompatible with the supplied wall bracket. We have complained many times but still Amazon are advertising this bracket with the tv.
"WHY !!!!!!!!" DO NOT BUY THE TECLINK TWM2 BRACKET FOR THIS TV.

Got the TV (Real part number KDL-20S3020) with a 24Hr turnaround delivery from Amazon after only taking (free) supersaver delivery. Maybe things are quiet in terms of stock turnover?
All set up and tuned in using default settings and auto tuning in less than 10 mins. This is a very easy to drive digital TV, with a bonus of a proper accessible power switch on top of the set so you don't have to turn off at the wall socket.
The picture is very very good, matching other Which? best buys I've had in the past. And the sound is much better than alternatives.
Yes it is about £100 more than the cheapest you could get at this size, but first impressions are that it is well worth it.
Build quality is great and the wide choice of ... Read More:

Just bought this tv (not from Amazon), and having set it up straight from the box, all I can say is WOW! What a picture, Brilliant! It was so simple to set up. Just plug it in. Follow the on screen questions and it basically set itself up. I won't try and make any adjustments for a couple of days, just to let the set settle in. I will then tweak the picture settings to get the absolute best out of the TV. At present I am using a Sky+ box, so it is only in standard definition for the moment, however on 20th December Sky will be installing Sky HD and then WooHoo! Santa is bringing a new Panasonic BluRay player (bought from Amazon) and some BluRay DVDs. I have to say that the SD picture is superb, every bit as good as my Toshiba 32" CRT TV that it's ... I have owned this TV for a week now and I can't rate it high enough, I purchased it to replace my Sony 26" Bravia TV which is also a great TV but because of larger living premises a larger TV was needed. I always wanted to stick with Sony because having seen many LCD's I firmly believe Sony are superia in the the two main funtions, those being picture and sound. nevertheless I was still slightly apprahensive about going from a 26" TV to a 40" TV because of losing picture quality. My worries didn't last very long though, it took about 20 mins from getting it out of the box attaching the stand and letting the automatic tuning do its business, and boy am I impressed! the picture completely blew me away and this was before I made my slight adjustments to the picture ... Money is a big issue for us so I spent hours and hours combing the internet for reviews and help in what to buy, I finally opted for the Sony Bravia. I am not a techy don't value all those extras but this is brilliant for us. It was easy to set up, have managed to get everything I wanted from the handset without any trouble and the sound has been really good. Unfortunately for us our 3 year old now refuses to watch our old tv anymore as he is convinced there is something special about the Sony, so it must be good!!!

I dithered for a long time trying to choose a 40" TV. Couldn't decide between Panasonic Plasma or Sony LCD. In the end my dithering paid off as the price has dropped by over £400.

I bought the Sony in the end and I'm extremely pleased with it. I'm mainly using it for Sky (SD) but even on Freeview through the built in tuner it has a great picture (so long as you don't sit right in front of the screen) much better than any Freeview picture I have seen...very little Pixilation even on fast moving stuff like football.

Haven't tried any HD sources yet but upscaled DVDs look very rich.

I'm slightly disappointed by the sound....doesn't have the punch of my Toshiba LCD so at some stage I may consider surround sound or a 'sound bar' but it ... Read More:

After Panasonic LCD failed bought this TV as a Which Best Buy and after reading reviews. Ordered at 9pm on Thursday evening, delivered at 7.30am Saturday for less than £8 extra for delivery. Quality of picture and sound is outstanding. Stylish slim case sits well on cupboard in kitchen and does not dominate the room. My last Sony Trinitron TV was still going strong after 20 years. This one looks as though it might do the same!

As usual Amazon's service was first class, early delivery and it's nice to have a 3 year warranty with the TV. We already have a 32" Bravia in the living room which has been exceptionally good, and this one for a smaller room upstairs promises to give just as much pleasure. It looks elegant, was easy to set up, auto-tuned without any problem, and the analogue pictures are very good considering we only have a small indoor aerial in the loft. We are waiting for a digital service from Virgin Media, an extension of the one downstairs, and if the pictures are as good as there then HD is almost superfluous!

This is our first LCD TV, so I'm no expert. The picture quality from freeview and DVD is fantastic. Setup was virtually automatic, and so far the default picture settings have been fine. I've read some other reviews which state sound is the one weaker area with this set, but it seems OK to me, not amazing but fine. The one thing I don't like is the EPG doesn't have a picture insert.
Very pleased with this purchase.
