This is an exellent product, with very good quality prints and scans. It also feels well-designed and easy to use. It was simple to set up and it is now working very well with my Apple Mac. However, Mac users should note that the CD/DVD printing software only works with Windows. As it happens, I already my own Mac-friendly CD printing software (Disc Cover), and I can tell you that this works well with the printer. This is a lovely printer, and it's a shame about the Windows-only piece of software. For this reason I have given it 4 stars, but would happily upgrade to 5 stars if HP were to make it totally Mac-friendly.

This is a superb little printer at a superb little price. I've had it for a while now, and haven't yet discovered any annoyances at all. I would have given it 5 stars, but I'm afraid I knocked one off because of the manufacturer's mind-bogglingly cheapskate decision not to include the necessary printer cable. If the cable was an expensive item, it might be understandable, but since you can buy one for only £2-£4, it's just... well, it's just plain cheapskate. Of course, if you're replacing an older printer, you'll already have the cable, but that's not really the point. Having got that off my chest, I've nothing else against this machine whatsoever. I bought this printer to replace a very old Lexmark. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. Easy and quick to set up - and having read reviews, I was set with a USB cable. The print quality seems excellent to me, although anything made in the 21st century had to be an improvement on it's predecessor. Prints photos, and documents to a very high quality. So far no complaints whatsoever.

Lovely printer, good value, wifi works brilliantly. I bought this to replace an aged 895CXi, and it hasn't disappointed in anyway. Quick, quiet, good output. Lovely to have a network printer at this price. I really can't fault it. I don't us it much for plain text - use mono laser for that - but anything mixed, or that I need in colour is dispatched really nicely. I do use inkjet paper to minimise bleed/spidering, and it's worth it.

Difficult to install (supplied disc wouldnt run on XP pro SP3) Driver downloaded from HP worked fine but every time computer or printer was turned off and on required reinstall of wifi link. All appeared OK on diagnostics but HP unable to rectify problem or advise of work round so now returned.

I bought this printer for my sister in law's 80th birthday . She does not like using her computer software for printing her digital photos . It is also not very convenient to take the card to the shops for printing . She is absolutely delighted with this printer . It was very easy to set up , works perfectly and produces very high quality prints in about 90 seconds . If you have a digital camera, this is all you will ever need to produce excellent prints of your favorite shots . I would highly recommend this printer which is well worth the money ! .

BEWARE!! - Whilst I have no doubt that this product produces good quality pictures (the test print was really good), after I installed the printer and rebooted my PC I discovered that my Norton Internet Security (2007) had been disabled! Trying to launch Norton manually just produced an error message that it could not be started. So, somehow, installing the HP C8180 had disabled my internet security software. I had to to rebuild my PC and recover to an earlier backup, which took a long time and much inconvenience. The printer has now been returned and Amazon gave me a full refund within 3 days.

We have had this printer to supplement an Epson A3 Printer for the last 6 months. Best thing we ever did. We use MAC and PC at home. MAC installation and day to day operation - excellent. So simple and user friendly. PC install long winded and needed a few downloads from HP. General Day to day - ok. Duplexing is a must and very good - saved loads of paper. Just used it for actual photo reproduction and scale ups - amazing - quality as good as original up to A4 from 10*15. Really useful to have separate photo paper tray. Fax - simple operation. Wireless operation is simple to set up and works superbly. Only complaints are cost of ink cartridges and the ability to set specific defaults on the device like draft printing mode. It does simply what you want from this! Good price 10 x 15 photos. I've had one for over a year and have bought another 2 of these as presents. I've tried inferior ink cartridges which are not worth it, you really do need to buy the original HP cartridges to get the best colours and longer ink-life. You can also buy an inexpensive (I paid less than £5) bluetooth adapter so that you can send photos to this from a bluetooth camera phone, no need to purchase the expensive HP option.

I bought this printer in US to realize the UK Inks would fit, but would not work. After "paying" for new 3180 in UK, it begin having problems only one month after the purchase. By them I had no warranty anymore! From paper jammed to cartridge malfunctions, it had it all. Avoid it.
