I bought my iPod touch last Christmas and fell in love with it immedietly. However... now, after just nine or ten months it has already started to 'play up'. It pauses randomly and sometimes i can see the time slider going through a song but no sound. i took it back to the apple shop, they put the new updates on it (free of charge i'd like to say ;)) but i still have the same problem i.e keeps pausing randomly. i would suggest that you don't buy the iPod touch as i am completely convinced that mine will stop working altogether JUST after my one year gurantee runs out. proof of this: my friend and her sister both bought an iPod on the same day last year and just after their one year gurantee ran out... they both stopped working within ... I'd like to keep this review brief and down to a few key points, as there are a lot of long reviews on this page already. 1) The interface really is as good as it looks. It is extremely smooth, exceptionally intuitive and virtually perfect. Not only does it look amazing, but its very efficient. The only one tiny flaw I find is that if the name of a song is above a certain length, it is truncated with no way of viewing the full song name. I don't ever find this to be a major problem, though. 2) The screen is not as prone to scratches as you might think. I have had my iPod Touch for a few months now, and while being a careful owner I wouldn't say I've gone out of my way to protect ... Read More:

What a fabulous little piece of kit this is! New knockdown price of £45 makes it a bargain! Follow the instructions, install software first before connecting the Zen to the PC, and once it is connected leave it there until the battery full sign appears (all explained in the instruction manual). The accompanying software is excellent, and the sync manager is a great time saver, although that does bring me to my only negative point - 2GB simply isn't enough for your average music collection. So, you have to be selective about what you put on it - I only managed to get 456 MP3 tracks onto it alongside the pre-installed stuff...... So small it will easily fit into even the tightest pocket, reputed to have great battery ... Read More:

Good product but rubbish company. Ever since recieving the product I have been unable to get it working. Archos technical have been no help what so ever and after hours on technical forums that I didn't really understand I have deduced that the problem is a faulty USB lead. Again Archos were no help at all. Time will tell is Amazon can help me out with this fault.

Purchased this item and delivery was quick. Dissapointed with the picture quality. For an item of this value I would have expected better. Then I had to download and pay for 2 X plugins before it would work a real rippoff from archos! I did not need to call them but I understand they use a premium rate number and keep you holding for a while. Lastly now I have had the unit for 1 month, it is dead!!! I have examined the unit and had to open it up to see a reset switch next to the battery connections. I pressed it in for a couple of seconds and it came back to life asking me to set up the screen by touching some x's. It is ok for now but would never touch a product made from Archos again.

This is one of the most frustrating products I have ever bought. I was aware of problems with the device, but I read that a firmware upgrade had fixed the initial problem, so I bought one anyway. The first warning was when I took it out of the box and found no UK power connector or SCART cable. That was okay as I had both and one potential frustration was averted. My next, more serious, problem was that the display rolled. This was down to the original firmware not supporting my rather old 50Hz only television. A firmware upgrade fixed this, though this was impossible to do without borrowing a friend's television, which was frustrating.
