My partner recently purchased the Sony KDL 32v4000 tv with the Techlink TWM2 wall bracket as a promotion. Great tv but completely incompatible with the supplied wall bracket. We have complained many times but still Amazon are advertising this bracket with the tv. "WHY !!!!!!!!" DO NOT BUY THE TECLINK TWM2 BRACKET FOR THIS TV.

I bought this TV because of the price, reviews and Samsung reputation. Really happy with it, as mentioed, it's very light, and incredibly simple to set up- with a samsung blu-ray player it's a doddle with no long winded button pressing sequence to watch a film. And there's the 4 rather than 5 stars- picture and audio with blu-ray or dvd is fantastic, but the audio from a TV signal is poor- there's no warmth or depth to it, and it is still sat next to the sony 28" crt it's replacing and the difference is a real shame. I've been through all the menus and set up "custom" sound but it's still nowhere near good with TV. Happy to hear any suggestions, but so far a 4/5.

Read all the other reviews here before making the purchase and found them very useful, informative and helpful in making final decision and supplier. The television is superb and has an amazing picture, even with our old school video recorder. This is a good incentive to now buy a hard drive recorder or a blu ray disc player! Maybe next christmas! Price was excellent value, with no charge for delivery. We received the telly within 48 hours and gave me a treat to play with in time for the weekend and to watch the rugby. Great job!

Just bought this tv (not from Amazon), and having set it up straight from the box, all I can say is WOW! What a picture, Brilliant! It was so simple to set up. Just plug it in. Follow the on screen questions and it basically set itself up. I won't try and make any adjustments for a couple of days, just to let the set settle in. I will then tweak the picture settings to get the absolute best out of the TV. At present I am using a Sky+ box, so it is only in standard definition for the moment, however on 20th December Sky will be installing Sky HD and then WooHoo! Santa is bringing a new Panasonic BluRay player (bought from Amazon) and some BluRay DVDs. I have to say that the SD picture is superb, every bit as good as my Toshiba 32" CRT TV that ... Read More:

I have owned this TV for a week now and I can't rate it high enough, I purchased it to replace my Sony 26" Bravia TV which is also a great TV but because of larger living premises a larger TV was needed. I always wanted to stick with Sony because having seen many LCD's I firmly believe Sony are superia in the the two main funtions, those being picture and sound. nevertheless I was still slightly apprahensive about going from a 26" TV to a 40" TV because of losing picture quality. My worries didn't last very long though, it took about 20 mins from getting it out of the box attaching the stand and letting the automatic tuning do its business, and boy am I impressed! the picture completely blew me away and this was before I made my slight adjustments to the picture ... Great reviews from everybody! I personally don't know how well it works. It was my intention to wall mount this set. I discovered, after purchasing a single arm extending bracket specifically recommended for this model, that the fixing holes on the back of this and some other Panasonic TVs are 50mm off centre. This means that when mounted, the television lists to the left. Short of cutting the corresponding legs off your viewing seat there seems to be no answer to this problem. I understand that Panasonic are alone in this bizarre arrangement. They only supply as an extra, when in stock, fixed, flush brackets. As usual with Amazon, great delivery, ordered on Sunday night, delivered 10am Tues.Free 1 months trail of Amazon prime) Set was really easy. Great picture quality and sound. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it takes a while to switch channels(up to 12 secs from pushing the button to the channel selected having an info free screen). This is my first flat screen lcd tv so I emailed Toshiba, they replied within a couple of hours saying this was normal. It's a bit of a pain when channel hoppping but I can live with that.

Delivery was prompt.Picture quality on the tv's freeview is ok but not brilliant, standard definition images are simply that on this tv. Being an avid film buff, I have hooked this up to my OPPO DV-981HD (Black)::HDMI 1080p DivX SACD:Multi-region DVD player and I must say the picture quality is "the dog's proverbials".I've also hooked it up with my Humax PVR9300T Humax PVR-9300T 320GB Twin Tuner upto 200 hours of recording, HDMI upscaling., the picture quality thru that is marginally better. There are so many user parameters to set for your personal viewing pleasure.I will go down the blu-ray route when the prices goes down to fully utilise the full-hdness of this sexy looking tv. Invest while you can get this sammy at this price.

Bought this tv for my mum who is 77 , You put batteries in the remote and plug tv in and off you go. No down side at all dont get to involved with the instruction manual as it is a bit long winded . Use it as you go along and the bonus is the sd slot my mum now has a 32 inch photo frame as a bonus. Good delivery as well , came 2 days before the earliest date given 10/10

we bought this after seeing one in our room during a hotel break. and we are extremely happy with the one we bought. The picture quality is superb, instalation straightforward, so much so i just bought the 37inch equivalent( helped by the fact that there were bargain offers on the marketplace this week) any negatives? well it was troublesome getting hold of some technical details( e.g can you wall mount and how wide is it? as they are sparse on the Amazon site) However go to the Currys online shop and you can download 4-5 pages!! of details. By the way, you can wall mount and the correct bracket is the PLB103S: which was £80 cheaper than the accessory offered by Amazon, and very robust.
