I have just bought this monitor after looking around for one for my macbook- I was fed up with the small screen. Setting it up took no time at all and as long as you have a mini DVI to DVI adapter it should work perfectly. Picture quality is first class and watching films on it is excellent. Whilst it doesn't have speakers, if you plug your laptop into external speakers it is just like watching television. I would recommend to all mac-users. Fantastic quality and price!

I have just taken delivery of this Acer X222W and could not be happier with it for the price - looks really good sat on my desk and not one pixel out of place in the screen. I read the other rewiews and this was highly regarded and hasn't dissapointed. Hope this helps

OK if you have a good strong TV signal. If not just recognise that what you are getting is just a good monitor. I bought this and the Samsung equivalent within a week of each other. When I called LG to ask what was wrong the man on the end of the 'phone admitted the tuner card was not up to scratch. The simple truth is KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), if you want a TV buy a TV, if you want a monitor buy a monitor. If you want both in 1 box buy the Samsung.

I've been using this monitor for a couple of weeks now and can say that I am really pleased. No dead pixels, hdmi, good quality images, and no ghosting. To stop you from going blind, you will need to lower the brightness and contrast settings. I have my brightness at 70% and contrast at 50%. This is excellent value for money, and you'd be silly to spend the same amount on a 24 inch monitor instead.

after researching for hours, trawling the internet for reviews of monitors i decided on this. despite the good reviews, i found three main reasons why this monitor is not all its cracked up to be Colour: the monitor comes with pre-configured options for use with games, photos etc... but all options make their target look either way too contrasted or way to dull. although there is a manual config it still does not display the colours to the best they could be. Excellent all rounder - fast refresh of 2ms DVI & Analog cables supplied, lots of different modes to choose from, easy to assemble, no dead pixels of blurring during gaming - all in all a fantastic little monitor for £170 if you can find same spec for less your better than me. 5 out of 5 in my opinion and I've never been a fan LG products but this baby gets tops marks from me.

I have no idea why this TV is as cheap as it is...I've got it in my room and the Picture is perfect. The 1080 HD is stunning...My PS3 looks great on it as does all my DVDs...I haven't tried out the Freeview side of things but I'm sure that'll be top too...Buy it...

I am very impressed with this monitor, I use it for gaming so I plug both my Xbox 360 and PC into it. It has a few preset settings such as movie and web and it allows you to make your own.
