Electronics : Apple iPod Touch 8GB
I bought my iPod touch last Christmas and fell in love with it immedietly. However... now, after just nine or ten months it has already started to 'play up'. It pauses randomly and sometimes i can see the time slider going through a song but no sound. i took it back to the apple shop, they put the new updates on it (free of charge i'd like to say ;)) but i still have the same problem i.e keeps pausing randomly.
i would suggest that you don't buy the iPod touch as i am completely convinced that mine will stop working altogether JUST after my one year gurantee runs out. proof of this: my friend and her sister both bought an iPod on the same day last year and just after their one year gurantee ran out... they both stopped working within ... This iPod looked dodgy ever since it came out. It looks more or less a miniature version of the ipod classic. It's just £50 than a classic. This only store 8 GB while classic store 80 GB and it has no extra features whatsoever. Finally the 4th generation is out and that can do things the classic can't so don't buy this.

After many reviews of different players (nearly bought the Sony), I opted for the Zen for its core features + the SD drive and the radio. I've had it over a month now - also bought the leather case - and it's an excellent player, esp with some decent in-ear headphones which really bring out the player's detail and bass. No problems at all (touchwood!) - have used MS mediaplayer to download my music rather than the Zen s/w, which work well. Haven't been able to create playlists on the Zen (used mediaplayer instead) and there is a limited amount of peripherals v ipod, so overall have rated it a 4 stars (it's really a 4.5 but couldn't score that). But great value for the price. Recommended.

At 57 years old I thought it was time I replaced my battered but functional Sony FM walkman with something a bit more up to date. So I researched everything to do with portable music players and ended up through a process of elimination for functionality, cost and looks with the X-Fi 8GB. First off I'm a big person with big fingers so I thought the tiny buttons might be a problem but they work fine with the edge of the nail and fall intuitively where you think they should be. The centre set of 9 buttons is a bit like a mobile phone arrangement logically with the centre buttton being the "do it" button. The on/off hold is easy to use on the back and the sleep timer (15min upwards) is perfect for falling asleep to Classic FM. The FM radio is a joy! Having heard hissy ... Read More:

I deliberatly delayed writing a review until I had used everything on this player. And after 3 months, I still love it!

The player is tiny and fits into my pockets without looking daft. The sound quality is excellent. The video quality is great! The headphones completely make the package as it's great to do chores or run with them on and not have cords get in the way. (It does come with earbuds too)

The software is not great and requires you to pay to upgrade to compress movies. Try google for 'Any Video Converter' as it does the job brilliantly. Since that's easy enough to get around, I still give it 5 stars. And the easiest way to manage playlists is with Windows Media Player.

I love my new toy :)

Having owned 3 iPods (all of which are still working perfectly) I was looking to buy my wife an MP3 player for her birthday. I'd spoken to a number of people, all of whom use different players, and the general opinion was that iPods are over-rated and over priced. The overall advice was that the Creative Zen range was far better and, indeed, looking at the list of features that would seem to be the case: voice recording, FM radio, built in speaker and, from what I'd heard, far easier to use than having to sync with iTunes, so I ordered a Zen Mosaic.

Oh dear.

What a piece of crap. For a start it looks rubbish, obviously this is a minor point but, when combined with everything else, it serves as the icing on the cake. It also feels cheap, like something that ... Read More:
