Bought this to coordinate Psion Series 5MX 16MB, ASUS - Eee PC 701 4G blue (UK version) and sony products. It runs perfectly on my Vaio (XP) and Asus (Xandros). Counter to the experience of some reviewers, my Sony 2GB Pro Duo Memory Stick worked and the short lead is a bonus for mobile computing. Delivery was next day - fantastic!

It reads all the memory cards (e.g. 4GB SD). The only reader which could read 4GB SD in my Teac audio system. I have the similar reader from Integral, but it couldn't read. It is very fast. I had no any problems.

I was very impressed with this piece of gadgetry. Just insert Reader into USB port with SD inserted and then can copy all pics/files using Windows Explorer. Very simple and easy to use - even better because no installation of drivers was required. Would definitely recommend this one, especially as connecting a camera is more cumbersome.

I have only really just tested this product (because I have put it away for xmas), but it does exactly what it should under Windows XP with my Viking 512Mb SD card. Top job.

)Does not work with memory stick pro )Only works with the original old style memory sticks I Used it with my 512 memory stick pro. nothing doing. Tried a newer laptop with latest software still no action. Used an old memory stick and bingo it worked. Thats no use to me as my old sticks are too small. Do not bother with this one its too limited to the original memory stick and does not support memory stick pros and i guess it will fail on the duo as well.

I bought this along with my Canon EOS 300D when I found out the camera only had a USB 1 interface. The camera takes about 10secs to download to PC (a bit of a problem if you have 200+ images from each card). The card reader does it in about 1 sec per image (slightly less with a faster card). Only tried it with CF, but does the job I bought it for very well. Can't argue with it for the cost, glad I bought it. Only problem is remembering to put the card back in the camera. Been out a few times only to turn the camera on and get "No CF Card". DOH!

This excellent little device plugs in to a USB port (1.1 or 2) on your PC - you then insert your Smart Media card into the slot and it transfers your data (in my case, pictures from my digital camera) instantly to your computer. It comes with a mini-extension cable in case your USB port is in a hard-to-reach place (and they often are). There is a software disc containing the drivers (for non-XP PCs) and the instructions although the device is so easy to use it is unlikely you will need them. A second disc contains image editing software which will certainly be a bonus if you don't already have a way of organising and editing your images. The disc also contains the Open Office office software suite! What more could you want?
