I ordered my Ipod Classic 80gb in Black, in time for my birthday. Looking over the reviews I saw that some people had had some delays with their items arriving, so I ordered it a good month in advance. I also had next day delivery, to limit the damage that it might recieve through the post. I was stupid to have thought it would be late. Amazon have brilliant service and you can literally buy anything from them, my ipod was late but only becasue it had been delivered to my next door neighbour as I was out and he had gone to work. I got my iPod Nano for free along with a mobile phone and thought I was getting a great deal. If I'm honest neither were that great at playing music and the phone was given to my girlfriend. I have an old Sony Ericson k750i and loved the mp3 playback. The sound quality was superb but it was a drain on my battery if used for a while. I thought with the iPod that this issue would be resolved and with everyone saying how good they were I felt confident that this was the answer. The first time I played any music in my iPod I was shocked at how poor the sound quality is. It sounds very very tinny and there is almost no bass. This is a superb product at a great price. I've really enjoyed watching films on it and 8gb is more than enough space to throw in a few music albums too. The screen is bright with a resolution that makes it comfortable to watch for extended periods. After previously owning an iPod with Firewire, I've not found the USB cable an issue - it's still a quick transfer.

Original did not work properly - emailed them direct to report this and asked what they would do to sort it out. Replacement arrived within 48 hours and works brilliantly.

The first thing I did after I finally got a home computer two years ago, was to read up on all the ipods available. It didn't take me long to decide on the iPod Classic from Apple and then the wait began for it's release in Australia. Unlike others on here, I can't compare the Classic 80gb with any other ipod as this is my first, but I can say that three and a half thousand songs later (and still climbing) I can thoroughly recommend it anyone. Many albums from my own collection have been included, plus many purchased direct from iTunes, as their sound is better than the older CD'sand you get an album cover displayed on the ipod screen. Hi when i go to the itunes icon it asks me to select a network, the only one that comes up is 'home' and this requires a password, well i've been doing some research and i think the password is you WEP i have no ides what this WEP is so if anyone can tell me how to access it that would be great, but you'll have to explain in step by step terms as i'm not a computer wizard. Thank You

The ipod nano 3rd generation is a real disappointment. I think most of the reviews written so far have been from people who have only had their ipod for a few days. If you haven't encountered any problems yet I'm sure you will soon because all together I've had 3 ipod nanos and they have all played up and I don't think its a coincedence. At first it works fine as I'm sure everyone will agree but it gets scratched easily, freezes whenever it feels like it and on my current ipod which I have only had for about 2 months the buttons have stopped working and the ipod won't respond. The earphones work fine but apparently break easily as 2 of my friends have told me therefore I think there are more reasons NOT to buy an ipod nano than to buy one. I am sorry but 5 stars is not enough. This quite simply is the best bit of kit you will ever buy. Do not dither i beseech you. I ummed and aahed for a day or so so you can count me as having done the dithering for you if you like. It looks like not of this earth when you power it up and from then on in it does not disappoint. It is quite simply incredible. The build quality and the sheer amount of stuff it can do is staggering. All this with an interface even a hamfisted dimwit like myself picked up without recourse to instructions. As with all ipods, sling the supplied phones...i am sure this is an in joke at Apple...for any worth a tenner or better and you are away. Sure all the techies will moan that 32gb is not enough (eh?..i doubt i will ever fill it) ... Read More:
