I've pondered over several laptops for a while, tried to wait for the redesigns etc and finally cracked. And I'm glad i did. This machine is beautiful both in appearence and running.

-Firstly, the build quality is incredible - no flimsy screen or creaky hinges and the finish is great.

-Secondly, it's very light and thin considering it's a 15.4 incher and its power.

-Thirdly i definitely prefer OSX to Vista, having plenty of experience with Vista. OSX trades on the minimalistic look, and it feels much more comfortable than the cluttered apprearence of Vista. Also everything feels snappy and runs really nicely. The only problems i have encountered with software is the sudden, unprompted closure of imovie ... Read More:

ok, this product is truly awesome, leopard is innovative, user friendly, most people wont have TOO much trouble getting used to it, after a good few months at the most you'll know exactly what your doing, and you'll love your macbook!

Pros - MAC OSX, more fun, more appealing to the eye. Drag and drop feature greatly enhanced in retrospect to windows OS's!

Cons. MSN! msn versions are not the best at all, Mercury Messenger is the only one which supports webcams!

The magsafe charger is awesome BUT! beware
i've read ALOT on the internet about this issue and it actually happened to me too, i didnt think it would but it did.

The cable at the end that connects to the macbook started to come ... Read More:

I love this machine! When it arrived it was even smaller than I remembered it in the shop. Plug it into a 21" widescreen monitor and add the bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mighty mouse, and it makes an excellent desktop machine. Quickly whip it off the desk and stick it in the bag, and it's the most beautiful sub-notebook I've ever seen.

We run a suite of five Macs, and bought this one for someone who needs to run Parallels Desktop + Windows for total connectivity with the IIS network, but also needs to be able to access QuarkXpress and Adobe applications transparently in the same way the Macs use them.

We made our buying decision based on our own business requirements, which are naturally different from everyone else's. What thrills ... Read More:

A long time Mac user now I've only been more and more impressed by the continuing development of Apple's laptops. From the original MacBook which was easily an upgrade from a PowerBook the new MacBook blurs the line between the pro and consumer lines so much that I'm amazed they still differentiate between them.

Ignore any thoughts you have about Apple being a premium brand - spec up a similar Dell and it comes out at around the same price but won't comes with the legendary iLife package or the level of integration that Mac OS X provides.

The screen is gorgeous with the same instant on LED backlighting that the Air has and the backlit keyboard is brilliant for use in the evening. It's also near silent - the fan has been quietened and no longer ... Read More:

I have used Windows PCs since MS-DOS. I wanted a laptop but I didn't want Windows Vista, so I looked at Apple MacBooks. The high price niggled me. Laptops with comparable specs are cheaper than MacBooks. But I took the plunge and got a MacBook black. And I'm delighted with it. The build quality is exceptional. The screen in particular is stunning, crystal clear, easy on the eyes, beautiful colours. Loads of software come with the Mac.

I'm very impressed with the features it has. It's light years ahead of Windows. Taking into account the whole package, its not more expensive than a PC laptop.

But is it PC compatible? Yes! I have setup a network with my Windows XP PC, where I share printer and files. My external hard disk, mouse, pen drive etc all work with ... Read More:
