I got my iPod Nano for free along with a mobile phone and thought I was getting a great deal. If I'm honest neither were that great at playing music and the phone was given to my girlfriend. I have an old Sony Ericson k750i and loved the mp3 playback. The sound quality was superb but it was a drain on my battery if used for a while. I thought with the iPod that this issue would be resolved and with everyone saying how good they were I felt confident that this was the answer. This is a superb product at a great price. I've really enjoyed watching films on it and 8gb is more than enough space to throw in a few music albums too. The screen is bright with a resolution that makes it comfortable to watch for extended periods. After previously owning an iPod with Firewire, I've not found the USB cable an issue - it's still a quick transfer.

The ipod nano 3rd generation is a real disappointment. I think most of the reviews written so far have been from people who have only had their ipod for a few days. If you haven't encountered any problems yet I'm sure you will soon because all together I've had 3 ipod nanos and they have all played up and I don't think its a coincedence. At first it works fine as I'm sure everyone will agree but it gets scratched easily, freezes whenever it feels like it and on my current ipod which I have only had for about 2 months the buttons have stopped working and the ipod won't respond. The earphones work fine but apparently break easily as 2 of my friends have told me therefore I think there are more reasons NOT to buy an ipod nano than to buy one. I don't ... Read More:

I love my ipod. I use it every day. It got me through all my revision and i dont know how i lived without it. But this week it has stopped working on me and im fairly sure that this is the worst day of my life. Can anyone tell me how to fix my ipod?? It wont turn on and if it does, it turns off again before i can do anything with it. It sometimes wont even turn off!!! Its really confusing and i would love to know if there is anyone who knows where i can get it fixed?? in Northern Ireland. This is the most amazing bit of kit and the most used Christmas present anywhere!! I need it!! Please Help me!!

A real disappointment. Easily gets scratched, froze at one point when I hadn't even had it for a month and now the buttons won't work and the ipod isn't responding. I would really recommend NOT to buy this product and I'm going to return mine as soon as I can. I had two ipod nanos before the one I have now and they both froze which was really frustrating and you'd think apple would have improved the 3rd gen in more ways than just 'a brighter and wider screen' etc. Apple clearly are not what everybody makes them out to be. Yes the ipod is attractive and compact but to be honest thats about all there is to it.

This is a really great product and now is the time to buy them because they're getting real cheap second hand. The sound quality is good for something so small and it is really easy to use with the click wheel and Itunes is good too. It's really beautiful to look at and it's so slim. But that was it's only flaw for me. It fell out of my pocket when doing shopping. So overall it's fantastic but quite easy to lose.

Was bought for me Christmas 2006, all went well untill July o8.Would not turn off even when trying to reset unit. Next morning totally dead , would not even charge or be recognised by my pc.This nano has never been away from my workout station, never dropped or missused, so why???????? Have to go for another, trying for Nano 3rd gen, as I have only just bought expensive dock, hope i have more luck this time. I would recommend 100% if it had been more reliable.

I ve had my nano for 18 months now and never used it with earphones. In my cars its wired in directly to the head units (which gives full control and avoids those crap fm transmitters) and at home I use docking stations. I also use an Altec IM7 for portable use. This brilliant device has rendered CD's and multichangers obsolete. I ve not come close to filling half the memory so started ripping at higher bit rates as suggested by the audiophilles but I really have nt noticed an improvement in audio quality.No quality or reliability issues which is a shame cos i cant justify buying the gen 4 model out this summer (16gb plus bluetooth is my guess!) Buy one now.

Love this little gadget, it's easy, practical and very snazzy looking. Cons: found the volume isn't that loud(for my personal preference, I like it VERY LOUD, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to remove the pictures I'd added, but then I didn't try very hard at finding out.Im sure there's a logical way. *Headphones are fine for sitting on a train, not so fine if you're going for a run.Or even a walk.They fall out too easily. Overall, pretty nifty, and oh so easy to use!!Put mine through the wash by accident not so long ago, but am now the proud owner of the Ipod Classic :)
