I bought this product to help me download images from my Digital SLR camera to my ipod video 60gb. Well it does work and will store jpeg images from your camera to the ipod. However, and be warned that this product has some SERIOUS issues. Problems 1: Power supply issue. The connector is powered by the Ipod and by the Camera. The Connector will not recognise a card reader and so your camera and Ipod will both have to power the data transfer process and this is a real problem, as the Ipod's battery life is poor and your will struggle with any Card around the 1gb range. Looks good - Just wondering if this supports 2nd Gen shuffles (I have the cable supplied with my Shuffle). I bought a generic USB charger from eBay, but was disappointed to find that it stops charging after a few minutes, and put my Shuffle (and iPod Nano) into a funny power state, showing a faulty battery icon. Luckily this went away when I went back to charging via my computer.

I got one of these packaged with my iPod (which I did not buy from Amazon) and initially found it misleading. The Adaptor, at first sight, seems to be designed for US plugs in that it has two "prongs" instead of the UK standard three "prongs". However, although many people will avoid the Adaptor because of this, there is an easy way to get around the problem. The American plug is in fact removable, and underneath you will find an adaptor to allow it to be used in this country. The adapter will take leads which are commonly used to connect PS2's, DVD Players and some Hi-Fi's to the power supply, so you are bound to have one lying around.
