Yes, battery life... mine went dead after less than a year of usage which is disappointing. The logic of the navigation on the Zen Stone is frustrating; meant to be intuitive it is in fact a cluttered and often unresponsive effort which the designer could have avoided. It comes with no clip - I understand this is part of the 'pebble' design but from a practical point of view (i.e. when in the gym or on the move),and for something so small, a clip would have been highly useful. Following the premature `death' of the Zen Stone I am now opting for a Sandisk Sansa Clip which hopefully will prove a more long lasting choice.

The player itself is very good, intuitive interface good sound quality. The only downside is using Windows media player to put the music on. I much prefer being able to use it as a USB drive type interface. This has the knock on effect that I cant charge it at work, as it only charges through a USB and it has to install as a device to do this seemingly. Overall though I like it a lot, just prefer my zen stone for its abilities as a stick drive and the smaller size. Just cant use the interface in the car for that one!

I rather like this interesting player, it is a very nice break from all the generic mp3 players on the market, while it doesn't have Ipod looks it is certainly very attractive. It is very plasticy but it does feel sturdy, and I have already managed to drop it a couple of times and no harm done. On the hardware side the sound quality produced when plugged into my sennheiser cx400s is very pleasing, don't however use the included earphones, they are terrible, but this is the case with pretty much every mp3 player so I am not going to take a star off for it. I am a great fan of the screen which has been criticised in many reviews. Yes it is low resolution and video's look awful on it, but its very bright, even viewable in direct sunlight and makes browsing the interface a joy. the integrated ... Read More:

This sweet cute pocketable mp3 is very handy and useful, here are the following good and 1 or 2 bad points of the mp3... If you're looking for a MP3 player with a reasonably large capacity and are prepared to eschew features such as a display in favour of size, you can't go far wrong with one of these. It's dead easy to use - simply take off the cap on the end of it, shove it into a USB port and drag the music you want on it in Windows Explorer. Or use Windows Media Player, Winamp or whatever floats your boat instead. Anyway, the point is that you don't need some crappy application to transfer music to and fro, nor do you need to convert it to some icky proprietory format before it can be played.
