This is an exellent product, with very good quality prints and scans. It also feels well-designed and easy to use. It was simple to set up and it is now working very well with my Apple Mac.

However, Mac users should note that the CD/DVD printing software only works with Windows. As it happens, I already my own Mac-friendly CD printing software (Disc Cover), and I can tell you that this works well with the printer.

This is a lovely printer, and it's a shame about the Windows-only piece of software. For this reason I have given it 4 stars, but would happily upgrade to 5 stars if HP were to make it totally Mac-friendly.

This really is a brilliant printer and copier (I haven't used the fax so can't comment on that). The print is crisp and clear, it's quiet and quick.

I like the fact that it has USB ports for cameras etc., and also memory card slots so you can print directly from these.

It has an easily accessable feed tray positioned at the top of the machine (on the lid of the scanner)

The control panel is intelligently positioned on the front of the machine and is easy to use (even without reading the instruction manual first!)

BUT.....

It comes without a connection cable! So after I'd carefully sorted it all out, loaded the software into my PC etc. etc. etc. and excitedly went to connect it up.... ... Read More:

I bought this to print out Census sheets (mainly Black & White) for Family History research which it does very well and quickly. I have printed colour pictures on plain paper with great results - I am using Canon 100gsm paper. A3 paper can be expensive so shop around. Not had to replace an ink cartidge yet so unsure how many pages I will get of what I want to do. So far - recomended.

Just bought one. So too early to comment on usefulness, but as upgraded from epson R360 shouldn't be a problem. Arrived within 3 days of order & set up reasonably easy (eventually) however should warn buyers that PIXMANIA is French based & item arrived without English user guide & 2 pin continental plug & obsolete adaptor.Pixmania told me to download user guide from epson website & I have had to purchase a power lead together with a USB cable.Pixmanias advert states "dispatched from & sold by Pixmania UK" is this not flouting trade descriptions.

I bought this printer to replace a very old Lexmark. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. Easy and quick to set up - and having read reviews, I was set with a USB cable. The print quality seems excellent to me, although anything made in the 21st century had to be an improvement on it's predecessor.
Prints photos, and documents to a very high quality. So far no complaints whatsoever.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Delivery faultless but it was a few days before I had the opportunity to install it. Got to the bit of the instructions where it told me to connect the USB cable. What USB cable? There isn't one. An enquiry to Amazon elicited the response that this printer is not supplied with the cable. So a week or so later I am still waiting for the opportunity to use my new (and vital to my work) printer.

OK - I admit it. I'm over 60 and therefore shouldn't be allowed out with a computer. But I've never before had to provide the USB cable separately. I would have welcomed the information that it was required before I bought the printer.

In April 2008 I purchased from Amazon my MX700, after reading many reviews on various websites, I was reluctant to purchase another brand having always bought HP printers. The reason behind purchasing another brand, was due to conflicts between two HP printers on my wired netwotk, which HP support could not overcome.
I certainly do not regret the choice, I have found my MX700 excellent. The initial installation needs to be done carefully following the instructions given by canon.
My MX700 is installed on my wired network, and is easily accessible from my PC and laptop.
This machine has several features not common in other printers in this price range. In particular the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) works brilliantly, I've never had a paper jam, either when printing ... Read More:

I bought it and was very excited about it because of all these reviews.
However, there are no driver software and no Quick Set-up Guide, the manual in the box!!!These are only printer, the Power Supply Cord, and The Toner cartridge with Drum Unit(These two are connected together in the silver bag, right?).I don't understand Ryman's service. It is my first time to buy things on Ryman Online!!

I bought a ESP-3 a few months ago and I'm pleased with it so far. It's not the best all-in-one printer, but I had so much hassle with an Epson DX (with it's stupid chipped ink cartridges not recognising on the printer) I bought this as it s cheap to buy, cheap to run and there was no real negative reviews to it.

Everything about the ESP-3 is average and with the low price and low ink price, so I give it 4 stars rather then 3.
