This device does everything it says on the box, but is best used after a bit of planning to get the best results. I have two of these devices linked over a Devolo mains home networking system (up to 200 mbits). I'm not too interested in the music side as it doesn't support FLAC and I use a Squeezebox system for this.
I run the Divx Connected software from my Quad Core Mesh PC so it runs quickly. However as I have found for a few years now converting files into Divx format (software supplied) can cause some problems.
First of all the Divx files are ever so slightly jerky when played through the DSM-330 - not enough to spoil enjoyment but enough to put you on edge after 3 hours of Ben Hur. This is not a network issue or a PC issue ... Read More:

Bought the 555 Model a week ago very impressed. Did not have any problems loading software found it very straight forward I would say I have average technical knowledge. Only downsides were LCD screen allows 4 function options at a time and function options assigned to the LCD screen were not logically laid out but this was easy to remedy if a little time consuming. I decided to get another remote for downstairs and move the 555 upstairs. Decided on the 785. Very pleased with both, would recommend the 785 because of charging dock and larger LCD screen allowing 6 options at a time. Minor niggles on 785 are flimsy USB cover and no option to vary back lighting. Even taking into account these niggles easy 5 Star rating for both. I

I got this keyboard to plug into an Ubuntu living room PC. I have also used this keyboard with Windows XP.

One thing I like about this is that it requires no drivers in XP or Ubuntu - it just appear like a normal keyboard and mouse. This is especially important for Linux, as I lost weeks of my life trying to get a Belkin bluetooth keyboard and mouse to work in Ubuntu.

Unlike cheaper wireless keyboards which only have a couple of feet of range, and are designed for desktop use, this one easily works across the living room. It is contoured to sit comfortably in both hands, or on your knees.
The trackball and positioning of the primary button are very natural - much more so than a normal mouse I think. Navigating with the mouse is ... Read More:

for some reason it seems to miss some of the keypresses or keypad actions. almost as if the signal strength isn't high enough. colleague of mine has the same keyboard and feels the same. we also both have Keysonic Compact Wireless Keyboard with Integrated Touch Pad (2.4Ghz Radio Frequency, Notebook Layout) by keysonic as well, and find them much better. buy one of those instead.

Bought this antenna to use with an Edimax access point. The access point struggled to work on the standard antenna with an iPhone more than about 8-10m away from it. This antenna provides a 100% signal to the iPhone anywhere in the house, including upstairs which is through several walls and a good 20m away. Bargain!

Quick installation guide is written in such bad English it's barely comprehensible so if you're not experienced with WAPs you're going to be tearing your hair out.

I got it working with my Draytek router (eventually), but it seems to average at 40% packet loss which makes it agonisingly slow most of the time. Thought it might be a linux problem but, no, it sux on Windoze too.

It's set up according to their helpline's instructions so I suppose this is as good as it gets. Looking at it nervously and waiting for it to clap out altogether.

The one thing to be said for it is that the phone support was good. That'll teach me to buy cheap wireless equipment.
