I initially thought that the hype surrounding a laser mouse was just that - hype. But it's not until you use the mouse that you realise just how smooth and intuitive it is. I have awarded this product 5 stars based solely on it's performance as a basic mouse, you will not get better control. The other features it boasts are a bit clunky, the left / right scroll button clicks, and the thumb click option are not half as smooth as the mouse operation itsself.

I bought this as it resembled the mice we use for 3d environments. It's a very good paperweight and .................it's a very good paper weight. Oh and a doorstop

Good product does everything it says on the box and has a nive finish and tactility. I dis however get a surprise when it started changing colours I thought it just glowed red. unobtrusive though and you can turn the colour off.

I bought the new edition of the G5 because i was looking to replace my dell optical mouse, which wasn't exactly a pleasure to use, the G5 on the other hand is bliss. Performance-wise the tracking and accuracy are both superb. The build quality feels solid and its not an ugly old girl either. The only problems i have witnessed so far is the middle mouse button, which takes some getting used to due to the sensitivity of the scroll right/left buttons, and the weight cartridge. I inserted my weight cartridge without any weights in just to see how it worked and unfortunately its now stuck! Luckily the standard weight doesn't feel too light to me at all. I should also mention the software, its very easy to install and run and uses very little system resources. ... Read More:

This mouse is an absolute gem. i like a wide grip and the G9 gave me that option. It is weight adjustable and comes with weights so my preference for a heavy weight feel is there. The greatest feature of this mouse is the adjustable DPI though which effects the mouse sensitivity, and the profiles you can set up. I have one profile for windows and then I use a gaming profile with 5 settings, so with an SMG, Shotgun or hip firing gun I can turn and fire on a six pence, but when sniping the dpi comes down and the telescopic sight moves smoothly to allow you precise aiming.

Although the product is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, because of the shiny fabric used for the actual surface you move the mouse about on, it works less than effectively with optical mice. Small movements are fine, but if you want something that tracks large mouse gestures accurately this product is really not for you. I'll either cut off the mouse surface altogether, or possibly stick on an alternate, less shiny surface.
