I purchased this camera to use for telephone conversations on Skype. The picture quality is fine but the microphone is absolutely useless, you cannot hear anything at all. Because of this I had to spend more money on a microphone. Do not buy this webcam if you want to use it for more than visual purposes. If you want a cheap webcam with ok picture quality then this is the camera for you.

I bought this a while back as it states it works on mac mini. It does, but it involves downloading external drivers that take a long time to find on your own, and even then it only works on one or two programs. None of these are skype. In fact, it is so non-compatible with skype that every time \i try to make a call with it plugged in, skype crashes. I sent skype all the details of what happened, including all of the code and terminal readings generated on my computer... and after well over a month or maybe even two... they haven't figured out why it won't work. Sounds like the cameras a waste of money to me.

What can I say.. the installation CD is full of bugs.. the D-Link web site is useless.. it only works with Internet Explorer.. the interface is clunky.. and the captured videos don't play back properly. Not a great camera, but it manages to get more than one star because I've actually used worse.
