Firstly service from Amazon was excellent.
Having read a few reviews of this item took the advice of installing the latest software version from the Logitech website rather than use the enclosed CD. Once software installed plugged in camera when instructed and waited a few minutes. As previously advised by other reviewers this does take a few minutes but just be patient. After this followed link to install Skype and was up and running in minutes. Camera and microphone quality both excellent. Relatives in New Zealand could even tell the colour of my baby son's eyes.

Only negatives stand needs more base weight (will probably put some Playdough to sort this out) and clip for top of laptop pretty poor.

I bought this as it looked a very good value webcam. But unfortunately it looks like I got what I paid for.

As another reviewer has noted, installation was painful. I just dumped the CD in the bin, as it just couldn't be read by the computer, and grabbed the installation files from the Logitech website. However, this wasn't straightforward, as it wasn't clear which model I had, and had to download a couple of install packages before I got the right one.

When I did get it working, I was very disappointed in the quality. Under optimal light conditions, the picture is pretty grainy, and quite choppy.

And if the room isn't completely bright, then you can barely see the camera image. I'm not being picky here - it ... Read More:

This network webcam was purchased as a test to see if the 'tilt/pan' was any good.

At the price point, the tilt/pan is in fact just selecting part of the image sensor which has a very short focal length, giving a wide angle view. This wide angle view is not optically 'straight', but that's to be expected. The interface allows 'scanning' of the overall area, which is a nice addition,

Wireless range is acceptable up to 20m from a BT hub base station.

The user interface works best under Internet explorer and is acceptable, but requires ... Read More:
