This thing is extremely loud. I can't stress just how loud it is without typing in capitals and looking like a clown, so I'll say again, this thing is EXTREMELY LOUD. The machine's whirring and clicking and vibrating across the table, that is, not the audio level of the cd's it plays. It honestly sounds like a power tool is being used in the house. You will probably regret buying it.

This works with the Linux based version of the Eee PC. I thought I had to load the driver's off the provided disc. It's worth having something like this.

ive bought 10 boxes of these now and i think out of that lot ive lost 5 but that may be due to other things, these BACK UP xbox 360 games a treat and work well with the hitachi cd rom in the xbox, ime a bit dissapointed that for somthing so cheap the postage is so high, i will be buying more eventually so i recomend these for that purpose allone. super fast delivery on these, thats prolly why its expencive to post them lol

This is the second time I've bought these disks and I've had no problem with them, well 1 disk out of 20 didn't work but that's not bad. They have gone up in price, the first time i bought them they were £1.82 but even still £2.17 ain't bad. All in all they're a great buy

i brought this about one year ago, deciding at the time to do a review after a long time of usage. Anyway, i wont bore anyone with loads of techi stuff but what i will say is that it does everthing that i could hope for. From dual layer films to music and photo backups on CDR'S, this does it all with no problems. At this price it is a steal. Buy one now, you wont regret it!

It only took about 15 minutes to install the drive (including all the faffing about with taking the case to bits and reclipping cables)(and then 30 minutes to download updates), and I'm impressed with this product. It comes complete with a range of software tools, enabling you to play disks, burn, archive, print labels and so on - The software provided (Cyberlink) is much better than the WinDVD software I bought for around £25 a year ago. I've now tried it with both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray disks, and both work perfectly. I haven't yet tried to burn anything onto dvd or cd though - I'm sure it'll be okay... The main reason for buying the drive was to keep the current game-disk in one drive, and be able to play ... Read More:

This is a top notch product. Have written to a BD-RE and BD-R with no problems. Write speeds are very good - you may have to adjust the settings in Nero or ImgBurn to get it to write at 2x. Reads blu-rays very nicely. Looks great and is very quiet. All in all, a really great product. Only downside - the BD-RE that LG supplies with the drive won't work properly. It will allow some files to be written to it, but it has problems with a Blu-ray movie image. Very strange. Anyone else have this odd occurence?
