I have only recently started playing the guitar, but have been playing other intruments for a good few years. I am pretty hopeless in trying to tune my guitar by ear, so this little tool is perfect. Plus its a two-in-one if you have a bass guitar as well. I am not sure what the 1-star review for this product is about, I can only think that their unit was faulty or something. After tuning my guitar, all the strings ring beautifully and I repeat it every few days. A good investment for guitar player experienced or beginner. I would recommend you reading your the instruction manual if you are new the the guitar or not sure about notes/tuning in general. Its helpful if you know which string should be what note before tuning.

Being a starter, I had no idea what I was doing with one of these. Actually, It wasn't even mine - another family member bought it to have a "little play around" on it. After they abandoned it, I claimed the keyboard. I have to admit, this was a great keyboard! Prefect for starters, even someone like me that had no knowledge of musical instruments had great fun learning, playing and practising different tunes. The keyboard is also very compatible with the common keyboard stands found everywhere so there's no worry about not finding the right one! A must have for any musical person!

On receiving this through the post, I was amazed how stunning the guitar itself is. Quite simply you could just display the guitar in your living room and get many envious looks from your friends without actually playing it. However, the guitar's true brilliance shines through when you sit down and start to learn the basics from the DVD provided - the sound is quite amazing. The DVD is simple to use and, even better, simple to help you get up and running. I got this keyboard with an idea to learn piano. I reviewed a lot of keyboards before deciding on this one. My requirements were: under 100 pounds, small size, lots of built-in songs, teaching or help function, touch-sensitive keys. I was comparing Casio with Yamaha but chose Yamaha. Pluses: 1. Size and weight- keyboard is very light and fits nicely into a small space in the corner. I think it's about 4-5 kg unboxed. It's very nice and neat with all buttons located at the top and earphones and midi jacks at the back. It PC compatible but i don't know how to connect yet. 2. My sister and I bought this for my cousins son (11th Birthday) who has just started music lessons with the idea he would have something to practice on (and grow into as it has full sized keys). He is not the most stable of children but he was quickly engaged with this as the built in tutor and play along/wait feature means that you start making impressive music straight off (however it does come with a built in James Blunt song, you have been warned). This is (or was for Christmas 07) the bees-knees of amateur level Yamaha keyboards. It has an enormous range of features, which frankly can be rather overwhelming at first. There is a tome like written guide and software that come with the keyboard, but be warned there is nothing to actually get you started on the learning process if you want to use this keyboard to learn from scratch, you will need lessons or a written guide as well. One negative comment I have is that the book that comes with the keyboard, though lengthy on technical explanations, does not really explain how to get the best out of this technical marvel. This a well-made guitar not just for a beginner but for anyone who likes a good sounding playable acoustic at an affordable price. I think you'd have to pay quite a bit more to get something noticeably better. It sounds very good. Get some Martin strings and away you go. The machine heads do not slip and all the bits fit and feel solid. The action is quite good too - important for younger people since they might otherwise have issues holding chords. You might get light gauge strings for younger people.

im probably not the best to write a review on a guitar because im only just starting. but i do know a good sound when i hear one and this definitly delivers one, i got the c40 to replace a cheap acoustic i had which was frankly killing my aspirations of learning how to play and i must admit i quite like the slightly smaller size of the classical guitar and the nylon strings. the finger board is alot easier to get around with it been stright instead of tappering. the whole guitar looks quality to be honest and feels it too. I must say i dont like the tuner you get with it and i already owned the same tuner and i dont know if its just that im an amateur but the tuner never registers the strings and notes correctly and you end up doing it by ear the dvd has a ... Says it all really. So much better than one of the ironing boards so unless you're convinced that you need to vary the height, pay extra and get this.

This guitar arrived this morning. I took a gamble and hoped i got the same result as the previous reviewer. I did!!! It came with the pro pack, tuner, bag, stand, 15 watt amp and yes of course the guitar. Perfect for £30 less than what the others are paying aha! Buy it now! Dont have second thoughts!
