This cable is probably fine, but despite comments on this page to the contrary it will NOT connect an X-Box to an HD-ready TV!

As an employee of the industry (at sales/retail/service level) i have seen cables go for up to £50-100. Although these higher prices generally assure quality, two things are required in the build quality of HDMI's: Gold plating and robust cable covering. When these two things are covered the quality is mainly producer based. I bought this cable, to begin with, for a Panasonic DVD recorder/VHS combi. The upscale quality was good at 576p. I have more recently purchased a Playstation 3, and decided to use this HDMI with it. I am happy to report that it worked, and has since, at 1080p, with a clear picture quality. I bought this cable on the basis of reading earlier reviews and can say that Im fully satisfied with this product. It works perfectly and also there is noticable different in the quality output when compared with my DVD player connected with a traditional AV cable.

to all those "Doubting thomas" out there who are not sure if you have to spend a fortune on a HDMI cable or not believe me when I say the answer is a resounding NO. I purchased one of these the other day and was amazed when I fitted it into my system (Sony 42" Flat screen TV with Blue Ray player) There was no differance at all between the two leads I have (one supplied by Sony valued at over £50.00) and then this one and you could not tell the differance when alternating them , so buy with confidence and save yourself pounds (just about to order another one)

I bought this cable because of it's great value for money, and the image shown here looks like a generic HDMI lead I already own, and am pleased with. However, the lead dispatched to me (very rapidly I'm pleased to add) is completely different to the one shown. I feel therefore I cannot give a true review of this cable and have therefore only entered one star. The cable I have received seems well enough made, it just isn't the one shown! I have alerted Amazon to this situation.
