Just what i was looking for.

Dual alarms, so you dont have to hit the snooze button 5 times before you get out of bed. Both alarms can be set differently [radio comes on at 645, if your still not up, buzzer can go off at 0700] and both are extremely easy to set.
great radio receiver and decent quality sound. glad i bought the right one after searching through amazons selection.

I'm so pleased with this product - its ideal for easily peeking at the time through sleepy eyes, when the newborn is stirring, as the display is so bright at night (without having to press any buttons). My 3 year old also loves the fact that the radio is only a button away from dancing round the bedroom.

It's such a bargin and easy to use, I love the fact that the time is automatic. Only recommendation I'd suggest is that it is a 'bedroom clock', as display is dim in daylight - just so you know... I'd still give it 5 stars as is such value for money! :-)

Great bit of kit, but if the power goes it's a bit annoying in trying to set it back up again! The first couple of times this happened the instructions had to be found.

The alarm is quite nice to look at, it's quite compact and is very easy to set up radio stations and alarms (2).

There are only 5 pre-sets for radio stations and although there are two alarms, as far as I can tell you can only have one radio alarm and one buzzer alarm.

There is a large button at the top of the alarm that has a double function: sleep button for alarm and dimmer switch for the backlight.

All in it's a nice little alarm. I would however, echo the previous comments that in the age of space tourism, cloning and quantum engineering that I'd expect a little bit more from an alarm. Especially when you can buy a freeview box/multi region dvd player for the same price.

5.Philips AJ260/05 - Weather Clock Radio from: Philips

Electronics : Philips AJ260/05 - Weather Clock Radio

The radio controlled clock is good and the radio has a nice sound quality for the size of the case. Weather forecast is of dubious use: temperature is OK (and works with the remote sensor) but notice that the measurement of humidity is only internal. So the device reports that it is likely to rain after you have had a bath or boiled some pasta nearby, despite cloudless skies! I didn't find it accurate at all.

This would be bearable, but what made the device unusable for me is that every 15 minutes it updates the assessment of weather and shines a very bright LED for 15 seconds to let you know (blue for rain, yellow for sun). This goes on all the way through the night and I couldn't find any way to stop it.

6.Pure TEMPUS-1XT, DAB Radio with Clock Alarm , Maple from: Pure

Electronics : Pure TEMPUS-1XT, DAB Radio with Clock Alarm , Maple
I bought the Tempus 1XT as a bedside radio alarm clock. It was a replacement for a cheap plastic FM clock thats been waking me up for years. I eventually got fed up of the difficulties with FM radio (tuning/interference/quality) when there are better alternatives. I use my clock every morning without fail, and so while the Tempus is quite expensive, I feel that the amount I use it justified me spending an extra few pounds on a nice model.

The other model I considered was the Pure Bug Too, which has similar features and a few more besides, but I decided that it looked ridiculous and wouldn't sound as good. I think I made the right decision. I can't verify the sound quality of the Bug of course, but I'd be surprised if its as good as ... Read More:

Looked for a replacement "Dream Machine", preferably with a smaller footprint. The ICFC773 seemed to fit the bill. It is most impressive with its simple controls easy-read dial, presets and wide range of settings and functions. But then I turned the radio on...
The small footprint means a very small speaker and a resultant tinny sound. As an alarm clock it works brilliantly and the tone encourages getting up quickly, just to switch it off!

Electronics : Pure Chronos DAB Alarm Clock Radio - Silver
There's a lot about this product that shines: there are four alarm settings with a handy weekday / weekend feature; great sound and easy to operate. A number of reviewers have mentioned the bright display and it's for this reason that I stop off to write this review en route to buying a replacement alarm clock on Amazon. Too bright, it's like sleeping beside an open fridge door (we've all been there). I suspect there are better buys out there. Close but no cigar.

This product was a waste of money don't buy it! Plus points looks good on the bedside table good size-(that's it) Backlight too bright. It conked out after a couple of months. It wouldn't display the correct time and the radio would only work on snooze function. Shame on sony I usually love their products I wont buy a sony clock radio again whatever the design. :-(

It works very well, and for the price is very good value for money.

The radio reception is good, and the speaker is perfectly acceptable.

If I was being critical, the styling is a bit 1980s, and next time round I may be inclined to purchase something a bit less retro looking.

My biggest complaint is the switch to set the alarm on/off - it's a slider, and the notches are all very close together. It's quite a fiddle to select the one you want, and practically impossible trying to do it in the dark. And there is no illuminated feature to show whether the alarm is set or not. So if your other half has gone to bed before you, you have to put the light on to check whether the alarm has been set or not.
