No criticism of Amazon. TomTom ? That's another matter. The unit works fine - until you connect to TomTom Home. The updates will render your unit an expensive paperweight. I can't recommend an alternative, but I emplore you to avoid this over-priced piece of junk. Steve

This is my first satnav - it was a birthday present and just what I wanted, although I didn't know at the time! It's fantastic, very user friendly, intuitive, fast, with large print, bright colours, clear sound, a blue car which matches mine and the route is marked in PINK! It changes to nighttime colours automatically, recalculates routes quickly and I'm confident I won't get lost in Milton Keynes ever again. It's hard to believe there's anything out there that would suit me better.

The case i received from amazon its not leather,If it says leather it should be made of leather not made of some type of plastic type leather look material. It protecs well but is a poor fit for the Garmin Nuvi 200W.

I bought this case as it was recommended by Amazon as a case for the TomTom One v4. However, this is not so. This case doesn't hold the TomTom One with its fold up mount. There is an alternative case that holds both which is also sold by Amazon. It's beyond me why they recommend this case with the v4. Maybe they have a surplus supply they're trying to get rid of! I now have to order the correct case and have the inconvenience of returning the case, take it to the Post Office and organise a refund which I won't get until Amazon receive the case back, which can take up to 30 days! Sort it out Amazon!

I have owned one of these for a year now. I chose this because a friend had a Tom Tom, which was extremely unreliable in certain parts of the country. This unit has come down in price quite a bit, and now represents considerably better value than when I purchased it a year ago. First the good points. I find it great in big cities, especially London. When navigating myself, I always attempted the simplest routes. The Garmin picks routes which are quicker, but usually more complex, so that I would not have attempted them otherwise. It has saved me a considerable amount of time on these journeys. I bought this following reading a good review in the Sunday Times. This was a mistake and returned it to Amazon who refunded promptly. Have since bought a Gamin Nuvi 200W from them. Totally satisfied. The Navman couldn't identify my address or Post Code even though the house was built in 1969. With the small screen keying in an address was fiddly even though I haven't got huge hands or fingers. On the road the mapping was less than adequate taking me on some strange routes and it even wanted me to make a U turn in a one way street. Other roads that have been around for many years were also missing from its mapping. Voice directions were generally quite good though the on screen map lagged behind far too much ... Read More:

I had (and still have) a GO 700 but as the windscreen mount was on it's last legs (having been glued back together a few months ago) and the maps outdated I decided to upgrade to a 730T instead of buying a new mount and maps. It's a decision I don't regret especially as I paid less than £220 thanks to accumulated Amazon vouchers. It is certainly superior to the GO 700 and the additional features - lane guidance, Q route, MP3 facility etc are all very useful. The only feature I haven't used yet is the RDS traffic which I believe can be quite patchy but this is not unique to TomTom. GPS reception is superb, locating my position almost instantly. I only have one major criticism (hence the 4 stars)and that is the screen brightness, which as in ... Read More:
