I bought this item mainly because of other customers reviews. I didn't want a 'plastic' box so upon receiving this solid wooden box I was initially impressed and it was a nice looking unit once switched on. Running the unit off an adapter was bearable but would rather have the PSU in the unit to make things easier. The main problem is the sound dispersion. I have recently moved the location of the unit and have found it has an incredibly small listening angle, the treble becomes too dull and the bass, which was previously clear and punchy, becomes suprisingly muffled. Background: I am first time home cinema buyer. I have never been keen on too many speakers/big boxes in my living room. Mainly because I own a hi-fi music system that takes up a lot of space. My living room is 12x15 foot. Review: I have had the Sony HT-IS100 for about a month. It was the perfect size/price solution. I considered Sony DAVIS10 amongst a few others. The IS100 has 3 HDMI inputs, one HDMI TV output, upscales to 1080p, minus the DVD player. Compare this to DAVIS10 which upscales to 1080i, has a single HDMI connection and does not have x.v. I have just purchased these black wireless speakers and I think there absolutley brilliant. I wasn't expecting to much from the sound quality with the speakers being wireless, but the quality is extremely good, very impressive. They are incredibly easy to set up via a TV, computer or HI-FI and also ideal for using outdoors for a barbecue.

I am very pleased with this product even though I have only had it for a few hours now. Main use of this will be as an output from my PC's optical output so that I can listen to my HD movies and TV shows in 2.1 and 5.1 sound along with my 1080p HDTV that is also hooked up to the PC via DVI output. I also have it set up with my PS3 via optical output to play games and watch blu-ray movies on with my HDTV. First impressions are WOW - the sound coming from this is amazing, very clear indeed, althogh as others have mentioned the bass is a bit too much and needs to be turned down to get a better effect. Good sound, with reasonable bass quality. My only downside which is the reason I haven't given it 5 stars is it is Bluetooth so meant to be wireless, yet you have to have it plugged into the mains as there is no battery option. Looks good as well

I would expect perfect partners to be 2 satellite speaker brackets and 1 centre speaker bracket, but you only get 1 satellite bracket and 1 centre bracket, also the centre bracket is adjustable from 180 mm to 290 mm so you need quite a large front speaker.

Any speakers that works as well as these when you are walking around the house with it in your hand has to be good. The box included phono leads ,large headphone to 3.5mm adaptor headphone plug , everything included. Only one slight complaint that is as others have mentioned that there is a slight power hum when the music stops, but at least it reminds you to turn the speakers off . Definitely recommended

I bought these as they seem to be the smallest surround speaker wallmounts available at the price. My speakers only measure 100mmx80mmx80mm, so size was important, and I must admit I don't notice the mounts at all really. The colour is perfect to help blend in with ceilings and woodwork. They're simple enought to put up, though as a tip, if you're mounting them close to a ceiling it's best to position them with the ball/socket securing screw facing downwards or you'll never get a screwdriver on it ;o)

These speakers are amazing for the money. I was expecting them to be really tinny and bad, but they sound considerably better. I have tried them on my mp3 player and laptop and they sound perfect. The bass is excellent, the stereo is amazing, and the maximum volume is tremendous! Excellent for the cheaper speakers - another great product from Sony!
