Very usefull to have one of these, i use it in low light / night, landscape and still life photography. I find it perfect when shooting seascapes and need to get waves just as they are breaking. Great bit of kit and highly recommended.

Plustek OpticFilm 7200 Film Scanner

My system crashed when I loaded the SilverFast SE image handling software supplied with the 7200 scanner. The scanner operated correctly until the end of the preview scan when the system also crashed with the same error report. I have an HP Scanjet 6200C flatbed scanner as well.
Despite the promised reply in 24 hours, PlusTek UK needed two emails and a phone call before I obtained any advice which then came from Germany. This was "There is conflict between HP and Film scanner. Please un install or de active (go to device manager to de active HP) HP install only plustek film scanner". I had already stated that I had deactivated the HP scanner.
A further request for help resulted in replacement ... Read More:

5.Nikon Ml-3 Remote Control Set from: Nikon
August 01, 2003
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Electronics : Nikon Ml-3 Remote Control Set

Bought this for my D300 as the nice little infrared remote that worked with my D40 does not work with Nikons more expensive DSLRs. The unit is well made and comes with a nice Nikon carry case (quite difficult to make it fit back in so take a good look at how it fits BEFORE you pull it all out!)
Easy to fit to camera and very easy to use. Easily performs over the stated distance and because there is no physical contact with the camera you can get pin sharp pictures when used on a tripod. The camera receiver can be twisted to any position so you can "fire" the camera from behind/front/side (something you cannot do with the smaller remotes on the D40 etc. as the receiver is fitted to the front face of the camera itself.
This item is only a few pounds ... Read More:

Your probably wondering why you should buy film in this digital age, well I'll tell you why, Image quality. The image quality of film and especially this film is still far better than digital in most circumstances this is ESPECIALLY true in the compact market, where a good compact camera with a half decent lens can make an image that is greatly superior to that of a digital compact.
The main reason for this is the size of the image sensor; technology is yet to allow for large sensors to go into a compact camera, infarct the only camera currently being made with a sensor the size of 35mm film costs about £5000 and is far from compact!
A sensor in most digital compact cameras is probably about 7x5mm or maybe even smaller, compared to films 36x24mm, NO ... Read More:
