Bought this to go from my Sony HXD890, also from amazon, to my Bravia TV. Does the job perfectly, well made and DVD upscaling looks great. No need to spend any more, for £5 great value. Make sure you measure as it is short, fitted perfectly for me with no unwanted cable but not much slack and my TV sits on cabinet with DVD underneath.

As an employee of the industry (at sales/retail/service level) i have seen cables go for up to £50-100. Although these higher prices generally assure quality, two things are required in the build quality of HDMI's: Gold plating and robust cable covering. When these two things are covered the quality is mainly producer based. I bought this cable, to begin with, for a Panasonic DVD recorder/VHS combi. The upscale quality was good at 576p. I have more recently purchased a Playstation 3, and decided to use this HDMI with it. I am happy to report that it worked, and has since, at 1080p, with a clear picture quality. Please don't waste your money on this (or any other brand for that matter) expensive HDMI cables UNLESS someone can demonstrate they make a difference over the cheaper HDMI cables! Having already recently purchased a good / well insulated £10 'no brand' 3 metre HDMI cable from amazon, I was interested to see whether upgrading from a cheapo HDMI cable to the more expensive QED Qunex HDMI-P would make a difference on my Samsung 42" HD ready PLASMA running from the excellent PS3. Luckily I was able borrow a friend's 1 metre QED Qunex HDMI-P cable and test it whilst playing games first hand. Relatively expensive for what it is, but also reliable as befits the Sony name, and will charge other mp3 players. I've used it to charge my Sony Walkman, iPod Shuffle, and Creative Zen Stone, all without a problem. It looks exactly like the photo: it's a simple plug with a slot at its top, into which you insert your mp3's USB cable. Very neat, very simple, and it works without any worries.

Worth buying for Flip as the USB arm is fiddly to use, even with a keyboard USB port.

The cable arrived within 48 hours of ordering, and it worked fine straight out of the clear plastic bag it came in. Even allowing for the fairly hefty post and packing charge of £3.99, the total cost was just half of what I paid for a similar (though not gold-plated) SCART cable from my local electrical store. Based on my experience, I give this product five stars.

I bought this product to allow me to use my xbox through my pc speakers and monitor and its great! For 1p you'd think you cant go wrong! But do be advised that although the product is 1p, the p&p is about £5 - you may be able to get them cheaper from a local shop? I didnt look into it, cause im lazy and paid the price. in addition, i find the ports a little stiff so to speak, in agreement with another review, meaning you do have to give it a good push to get your jack in ;) At the end of the day though, it does what it says, and now i can switch between xbox and 360 with ease, as well as have sound playing at the same time for both. YAY!

It takes a bit of cheek to charge even three quid for this. Using it to connect my PC to my LCD monitor produces a picture with the worst ghosting I've ever seen. Jiggling the cable about, switching off nearby appliances, offering sacrifices to Greek gods, none help. The trouble is, every cable on the market seems to have at least one bad review attached to it, so it's hard to know which to buy. Whatever the answer, it isn't this.

Ordered this cable at the same time I ordered PVR from another supplier on 18th June. PVR arrived on 20th. The cable finally arrived this morning, 25th. Happily the PVR came with its own cable-however,the downside to this was that the cable was cheap and caused a lot of "ghosting". The Strand cable has cured most of the "ghosting", and, as such, is very good value for the unit cost and P&P- if you can afford to wait for delivery, that is.
