Well what can i say like many who have bought this i was a bit sceptical at first but took the plunge based on other reviews and can honestly say so far so good ive hooked up my sky+ box via svideo cable and this gives a bright colourful image,i am just using a plain white blind from wilkinson and it does a great job giving me a 80"image from 10ft,the only reason i havent gave it 5 stars is i dont now how to rig up my dvd player to it yet but i can watch dvds via the pc but i dont have 5.1 channel from my pc,probably need an amp maybe not maybe im just doing something wrong so if anyone can shed light on this matter please post up.I wouldhighly recommend this pj to anyone on a budget.Update,i figured out how to play a dvd player through it using ... I have just taken delivery of this Acer X222W and could not be happier with it for the price - looks really good sat on my desk and not one pixel out of place in the screen. I read the other rewiews and this was highly regarded and hasn't dissapointed. Hope this helps

i brought this laptop about a week ago and i am very impressed with it so far. the built in radeon hd 3470 graphics card provides very good game and movie graphics, combine this with the dual core 2ghz cpu's which puch out 4ghz of power and the 4gig of ram in this beast you get what you pay for. the battery life is well over 2 hours on a full charge providing you are running the machine on the balenced power plan. the only annoying thing i found with this machine was when i first set it up the touch sensitive media controll's that run along the right side of the keyboard are very easy to trip accidently which promts the media player to open every time but this is easily fixed by changing the setting in the controll pannel so there not ... This is the 2nd one I have bought both from Amazon I think and am very pleased with both. Have got one of each colour and they both look really superb. Very easy set up it does it all for you one is using Vista the other XP and had no problems with them at all. A set up disk was supplied but not needed. All in all a good value for money item. Well recomended.

Hi I purchased this nice looking number yesterday to replace my Eee PC 4 gig machine, which is in the same bracket as this Acer 150AW (512mb) machine but with the added benefit of having a 120 Gig hard drive, with both also using Linux as an operating system. I must stress it was not purchase from Amazon, but another major high street chain (Cxxxys)and felt complelled to write this report/ review. I've had this laptop for a few months now and I have to say I'm impressed. It looks nice and performs well and I personally think the battery life is quite decent. It's a good laptop all round for the average user.

This battery is big! It has three times the capacity of the standard battery, and takes three times as much space. Basically, I now have a battery with a netbook attached to it. Just imagine that a second battery pack is added behind the standard pack, and a third battery pack underneath. If that is what you want, get it!

I bought this acer as a second laptop, its really easy to carry around-light. Although the screen is small and takes a bit of getting used to, it is fine after a while. Start up is quick and battery life is good, about 2 hours of mixed use. Otherwise the acer one is great. I went for the XP version as memory much bigger and software compatibility much better than linux versions (itunes for example is not supported).All in I would have no problem recommending this computer.

Bought 2 of these as christmas gifts and like the previous review says, the graphics card isn't as advertised. Apart from that, it's a great piece of kit. My son plays online and to test it out i loaded World of Warcraft on it and had no problems at all, in fact it seems to look a bit better on a PC than it does on my Apple Mac. This is a great buy for anyone with a "lowish" budget. Everything else is as advertised, 4GB Ram, 250GB HDD, Blue-ray player and even a webcam. You won't find a better spec at this price.
