I like this laptop, it looks nice and powerful enough to do my web designing on. The speaker is a bit weak, but plug-in an ear-phone and the sound are really good. The display looks nice as well. As long as you don't play high-end games, this laptop will be fine for most use. Did anyone notice there is sometime a light clicking noise on the laptop?

I like this laptop, it looks nice and powerful enough to do my web designing on. The speaker is a bit weak, but plug-in an ear-phone and the sound are really good. The display looks nice as well. Went to PC World with the idea of getting a Samsung - they get good reviews. When I got there I was able to see several running side by side. I was attracted to the Acer because it is the only one I saw with a really bright, white display. It also looked less "foggy" than the others. Although I use my PC for all sorts of things including games and video etc. I spend a lot of time with Excel spreadsheets and Word documents and need good contrast black on white. I am reluctant to purchase this laptop although I would like to. I have read the spec list etc on the ACER site and they themselves recommend you use the 64 bit version of vista to be able to take full advantage of the 4gb memory it comes with, so tell me why is it being sold with 32bit vista. There are memorey limitations involved in a 32 bit OS with Vista it tops out at just over 3gb, so basically you have 1gb of memory that is not being addressed by Vista. As such the laptop is not fit for purpose when supplied with VISTA 32 BIT

The screen is excellent, blueray movies show it is outstanding capabilities. I have also used it for work, being a widescreen you can see multiple documents at once.
