This is my third router, the previous ones being Belkin and Netgear, and both became faulty after a period of use. I have had the Voyager for about seven months, so I can't vouch for its long term performance, but the performance within that period has been exceptionally good. Firstly, the Internet connection has NEVER dropped out. It has been switched off when I have been away from home occasionally and on switching on again it recaptures the broadband signal within about half a minute without my touching it. The other two both had occasional drop outs and had to be rebooted. Purchased this item for a relative with poor eyesight, this has maintained her independance and the remote handset means she can make and receive her calls from her settee. A perfectly functional and BT reliable item. Highly recommended

The best products are those that you don't have to think about using. This is no small feat for a product with so many complex features. What I like best about this machine is that there are specific buttons to carry out the most common functions; like skipping through messages, changing your message, and so on. Previous models from BT have had fewer buttons and relied upon the user resorting to the instructions to figure out that in order to go "forward" one had to hold "reverse" for three beeps or something equally counter-intuitive. Useless, useless, totally useless. It'll work for a while, then switch itself into answer only mode, so people can't leave a message. Once it's in answer only mode there's no way to get it out other than unplugging it, removing the battery to reset the thing and start over again. A right pain in the neck. Buy something else.
