I bought this a couple of weeks after the new iPhone 3G came out - and tried to charge my iPhone. And it does not work - even though you might charge it fully. So BE WARNED - don't get this device for the iPhone 3G - the manufacturers are trying to work out what to do but they do recognise its fault - but DO NOT SAY anything on their website unless you register with their forum. It also takes at least 48 hours before a full Greek sun charge - in which you rotate the thing every hour to follow the sun before you get about 60% charge. So the technology is a little immature to expect the same as normal mains. Nice design with awards - but frankly too bulky for carrying around with your small iPhone or any portable device nowadays. ... Read More:

The first 2 times I used this to charge mobile phones it worked well. I was impressed and pleased not to have used mains electric. Then the next couple of times I used it, it didn't charge my phone properly, but stopped half way. Then the suckers to the window kept coming unstuck. Several attempts later by both me and my partner and we gave up. I first thought my phone was broken, but having tried it again on mains electricity it charges fine. My partner resorted to trying to stick this to the window with cellotape because the sucker is so useless then we finally gave up on that too. And yes there was sunshine! So not a clue why it doesn't work. A really pity because I really want solar to take over the world's energy crisis - but before ... Read More:

Ordered this when was available and had to return it twice. Amazon has unfortunately not refunded me the postage cost though. They should have (under the sales of goods act) as the item was not as described. The box only contained a Mini USB and a Palm Treo plugs and not the others mentioned on the description. I then checked on Solio's own website to find that the item only comes with these two plugs and not as described on Amazon website. Come on Amazon, you could do better!
