Electronics : Canon Original CLI-8PC Photo Cyan Cartridge

My brother recently got a Pixma 6600D and asked me to order a set of 6 carts. Having an account with Amazon I thought these were a good price but ouch - the postage ended up MORE than the price of the cartridges.
OK, I should have checked before clicking confirm but when postage on a small package tends to be a few pounds I expected something below a fiver.
Having had a heart attack I would feel guilty passing on the postage cost in full so I shall now end up out of pocket thanks to the unclear cost.

182.Canon Flash Speedlite Wireless Remote Transmitter ST-E2 from: Canon

Electronics : Canon Flash Speedlite Wireless Remote Transmitter ST-E2

The ST-E2 transmitter is a great way of getting your speedlite flash off-camera and opening up other photographic possibilities.

It has a rake of options on the back including being able to set the ratio of slave flash groups you're controlling with the device. There are 4 channels available and it can sync with high shutter speeds too at the press of a button.

Now onto the bad stuff which is mainly the price. £135 for this is robbery!!! It's very useful yes but when mine arrived I thought I had ordered the wrong thing because it was so small! However, aside from remote triggering of compatible speedlites it can throw out an infra-red focus assist beam which is useful on cameras like the 5D with no built in flash or ... Read More:

183.Canon Camera Eyepiece Extender EP-EX15 from: Canon

Electronics : Canon Camera Eyepiece Extender EP-EX15

I've had one of these and have been using it for over a year. I wanted something that extended the eyepiece so I didn't have to turn my face sideways to look through the viewfinder. It achieves that aim just fine. Yes it does shrink the image - this may be an issue for some, especially those using cameras with a smaller viewfinder image. I'm using it on a 5D, which has a very large viewfinder image. So large, in fact, that I find it hard to take the whole image in without looking around it. The eyepiece extender helps me to see the whole frame before I shoot so I consider the image shrinking to be a benefit. I understand, though, that many will not. I've not found any problems focusing manually with the eyepiece extender attached.

This is a canon battery charger. I'll admit, its not the most interesting thing in anybody's life but it is useful; especially if like me, your ex-girlfriend nicked your charger... and lets face it if you have such a pretty canon camera you can't go offending it by buying one of those cheapo generic chargers.

Returned from Red Sea with some excellent photos, however experienced intermittent problems with use of this housing together with my IXUS 75. At 25m plus certain buttons were disabled - specifically the buttons to switch flash on and off, and also the button to switch between macro and normal lense.

For the rest of the dive, even when I ascended to shallower depths, the problem persisted. Only when I got into the top 5m would the buttons become enabled.

To test the camera, I borrowed someone elses IXUS 75 - results slightly different. Generally did not disable, except at one dive (out of 5), but at nearly 30m - however on ascent to low 20's the camera suddenly started working?!

I adore it. I resent having to remove it from my camera because it's such fun to use. However, this is not a lens for everyday use - it's for savouring and exploring new perspectives with. On an EOS 40D it's effectively a 160mm lens so it's really not a general purpose lens. It's a lens for savouring. Set everything on your camera to manual. Take your time, and re-learn everything. I love it.
On a 40D I have the advantage of using LiveView with digital zoom to help me focus in low-light conditions. If you're considering using it with a 350 or 400D make sure to try before you buy - you might find manual focus pretty challenging with the dim viewfinder that todays prosumer DSLRs have.
Nevertheless, I've no regrets: if you want to do macro ... Read More:
