I used a Powershot A40 from 2003 until last year which was always superb. I then bought a Lumix FX50 ( £200 ) because it has a Leica lens and was small enough to fit in a pocket. Guess what? It was nowhere near as good quality as the old 2Mp Canon. Just bought this and It's a lot of camera for the money. If I adjust it down to 2Mp it's still comparable to the Lumix!Plus it doesn't suffer mad fits of colour saturation on flash photos like the Lumix did. It may be a little chunky for a pocket, but if you prefer some control over your photos as apposed to "point and shoot" this will take some beating!

This is good value printer. Yes, it is a big printer but you expect that as its a scanner and copier too. The installment software is very good and clear so you are up and running in no time at all. The prints are produced quickly and are very crisp on regular paper (i have not tried to do photoprint paper versions yet.) but i have one minor gripe so far on the print quality: the definition within dark or shadowed areas is not good. The picture on the monitor shows a good range of colours and visible shapes within the shadows but when you print, the pictures have just dark shadows and all the subtlety in the photo image is lost. This is with the print quality on standard and the color/intensity on auto so there might be the facility to change ... Read More:

If your a proud owner of a canon EOS 450D, but like me you have made the stupid mistake of leaving the charger in a hotel somewhere, then your likely to need a replacement. This charger does the job, but has a European two prong plug. Not the end of the world, just thought I'd highlight this, as this wasn't immediately obvious to me when purchasing. This is why I have rated the product as 4 *.

I bought this without first inspecting it when I was buying my 5D. Mistake. I did this based on previous experiences with other Canon camera battery grips but am a little disappointed with this accessory due to the simple fact that it is very large. I have quite large hands but the grip really is a significant size, required in order to house the two large batteries used by the 5D. Having so much juice stored in your camera is very handy, particularly when travelling but realistically, is it really that tricky just to carry a spare battery, it would certainly take up less space overall. The additional shutter release button is the main reason for my purchase and given that this is the only battery grip available I am still happy ... Read More:

I have owned this lens for 12 months now and take it with me when I'm photographing every time. I use it mainly for portrait shots, which gives ultra sharp shot of the subject and good background blur behind the subject with vibrant colours. This lens is as good as it gets without having the 'L' standard, but remarkably as good. Every wedding/portrait photographer who owns a Canon camera should have this lens in his or her arsenal.
