During the course of my work i have occasion to use many different Canon printers and fax machines. Untill recommended by my brother inlaw to use www.advantage-online.co.uk i had little faith in the re-manufactured versions available at all sorts of prices. However i have been using advantage for about 6 months and have to say that the version they sell is excellent. Not the cheapest compatible CL-51 cartridge you can buy but the quality is excellent and lasts alot longer. I order today and always get the goods tomorrow with free post, and i still save money.

I bought this lens shortly after purchasing a canon a620 to give me extra range and the 1.7x magnification does make a real difference! The photo's which come out are clear and of exactly the same condition as on the regular 4x zoom, perfect for getting that bit closer to birds etc. I have since upgraded to a canon s2 and have found it to be of less use - at 12x zoom + the adaptor, the contrast in the pictures is too stong. However, in general, I would say that the canon lenses in the cameras themselves are excellent and within the 1-4x zoom range, this extra lens is a fantastic investment. Just make sure you get the right adaptor for it to fit your camera!!

I bought this camera late september this year after a month of researching camera's. The quality of the pictures this camera takes is incredible! If you like detail and accuracy then please buy this, when viewing the pics on a good monitor the pictures almost jump out the screen. From my personal experience the manual mode is the best and most usefull but only if you set it right. I love the black and white and sepia colours, I sometimes use this more than colour, depending on the shot. I have found that the flash is excellent but only in indoor, well lit conditions, you CAN however adjust the ISO to a higher setting, which creates noise but the noise is likeable as it gives a nice film grain effect. The tripod arrived in a really poor state. The packaging was covered in dust and dirt and looked as if it had been sitting in the warehouse for several years! So I'm not impressed! But I get over it, afterall it's the actual product I want not it's packing. I open it up and have a play. One leg of the tripod doesn't pull out fully, clearly it's become so stiff because it's been sitting for so long... After closer inspection I also find a chip in another leg. Now I'm really unimpressed. I had to check I hadn't ordered a 'used' item by mistake! But no it's new, or supposed to be. Ok so now I think I have grounds for a refund.
