This camera really is great. I felt like ...Why spend a fortune on a high speed computer and memory to have the headache of AVCHD format when this tape version produces such good quality and is easy to archive. Its good to see Canon have not just followed other brands like sheep and really hope they continue with this range for a few more years.

There are a few small known issues the tape door and a slight motor noise but I can live with this.

Just bought the Canon G9 and needed a flash which was somewhat stronger then the on-camera strobe. I bought this and was so surprised how easy it was to set -up - just put it on the camera and fire away. Ok I need to try the other settings but exposure was spot on direct and bounced.

A gripe - well I prefer off camera flash and you have to buy a canon lead (or close) to do that and whilst the flash can be used wireless thats another £100 or so pounds to add, whilst with a Nikon D300 you can activate a wireless flash (SB-800) easily at no extra cost.

All in all great, but I can see me buying some more accessories to get the most from the flash.

I bought this as a bit of an afterthought for using with my D300, I already have the wireless remote and generally use it more often.
This remote however is much more useful if you want to work behind the camera (where all the rest of the controls are) and more precisely control the timing of your shots.
The cord is perhaps a bit short and an extention wire would surely not have been too much to expect at this price.
Generally a good buy but if it's an either/or situation with the wireless RC05 I'd go for the RC05.

This is a great case to give the camera a reasonable level of protection, without excessive bulk. I use it for when I'm carrying the camera around by the shoulder strap to protect it from knocks. Also very useful if your putting the camera into a standard rucksack.

Some reviews i've seen say that the base is very hard to attach and requires a two pence piece to unscrew it to remove. Neither of these are true on the one I received through mazon, using it on my Rebel XTi (US version of the 400D).

Just what I was looking for.

Just noticed some bad reviews so thought I'd say something from my experience. I purchased and have been using the printer since April 2007.
Got it from Pixmania with french plug and Uk adaptor. Used it with three computers using Windows XP and last month changed one computer over to Vista. Networked through Sky Broadband Router. No problems! Setting up the printer is a doddle. Setting up scanner requires a little patience. Cannon support is non-existent but if you approach the task without many pre-conceptions and calmly read the scant information, it does seem to work out fine. Love it to bits!

bought this little gem one month ago onadvice from what digital camera magazine (got 90% top mark being 91%). best buy ever , perfect for the non-professional ,great zoom, manual functions and quality of pics. am actually glad about aa feature as you would have to buy an expansive li-ion battery as a back up battery wheras you can get aa rechargables very cheaply. feels a bit cheap but when you compare the same features with a meatl body (double the price) it doesnt matter at all.
in summary excellent little camera
