As yet I am not impressed with this gadget. My first ZPen was faulty - after charging it for the requisite 6 hours I found that the transmitter (the pen) carried on sending a signal even if it was off the page, resulting in hideous squiggle when looking at the document on the PC. The item was quickly replaced by the seller (Select Home Shopping - via Amazon) so no problems there. The second Zpen, after charging, also did not work - the receiver is not recognised by my (or several other) PC's, even after re-setting, as recommended by the Dane Elec website. The battery is also uncomfortably warm, after only a few minutes plugged in to the USB port. I am sending this one back also and willing to give it one last try. Two further points Read More:

The dane-elec is not a household name and I purchased this item in a desperate hurry from my local shop about 18 months ago when it was a lot more expensive and it was the only make they sold. It was my first flash drive and has proved to be trouble-free, fast and effective compared to other flash makes which are in my possession. The dane-elec is also extremely compact. My next flash drive will be a dane-elec. 5 stars for sure.

Lovely Idea with lot's to offer. good drive, good speed, great response... Well..french...so,.. you have to unplug USB to get video on TV, to Watch film it takes seconds, but if you have 2-3 films, if you 'v been clever and put there 200 of them- you might get old before they all line up in pages (not just title-strange), then try to Fforvad one and get it skipped! not really that handy i would say! i hope they would put new firmware to fix these all troubles and all would work fine, for now- just as hard drive. still good if you want to see downloaded movie on tv screen.

This is a great product. It plays videos well, with very little jumping or stuttering. Sound is better than expected. The FM radio works well and you can record it, if that is what you want to do. Used as a dictaphone, the mic is sensitive and discriminating enough to record voices. Sound on classical and rock MP3s is great, even with the supplied earbuds. There are bass boosters and a graphic equalisers for those who want to tweak it. Video takes about 300MB per hour or so, so you can fit 12-15 hours on 4 GB the unit. When transferring from TV to the gizmo, the image gets squished and there does not seem to be any way to correct for that. ALso the sound/vision is not completely in synch.
