SkipDr Premier (Automatic) I bought this after a bit of surfing, checking all the disc repair options. I tried it on a PS2 game that I had sent away for repair and still didn't work. After one try with this device the disc still didn't work... nor after the 2nd try. So I tried again, leaving the cd in for two automated repair sessions. This time it worked, that was 4 cycles in total. I've got young kids and multiple players and consoles so we regularly get disc problems. I think this is a fairly good device and it does the job.

Is nicely made and works well on DVDs. I presume CDs are easy for it as well. However, I totally wrecked an HD-DVD with it. The disk, though nearly new, had two minor glitches. Tried Skip Doctor Deluxe on it and now it won't even load. Instructions give no hint of this.

I found this product and read alot of reviews from various sources, thought I would give it a go as my Xbox360 disc wouldn't work due to a majority of scratches (KIDS, who would have them) I followed the instructions and then tried the disk which jst got stuck on the title screen ??? So I gave it another go, went round numerous times but cranked the handle at a slow speed as I went pretty fast before. Dried and polished the disk hard and it worked, Yeh ... GTA4 here we come again. When I went fast it left alot of very fine scratches around the disk where the turns weren't constant, I recommend turning at a slow speed (makes your arm ache less too). I would buy another !!!!
