this product was excellent as it was a boxed genuine fuji film item at over £40 cheaper than the high street and arrived very quickly

I've been checking the prices for 2gb SD memory cards for a few weeks and when i found the fuji 2gb card i ordered it straight away and i'm so glad i did, and what a bonus it was delivered to me in super quick time.

Just bought new Finepix from Amason. Wanted 1GB cards, so keyed in 5 no at 3.98 each only to find cariage is £22.95 (more than the product. Cards weight about 5grammes each; all 5 don't come to an oz. Selected 'cancel' Keep your cards!!! My advice is don't deal via Amazon!!

First impressions; a solid well made camera with lots of features , reasonable price. Picture quality not absolutely top notch but considering £200 price point , quite acceptable. 18x zoom sounds great in theory but must be used with care as image quality suffers towards top of zoom range. Not as versatile as an SLR but still it's nice not to lug around full SLR kit. So far so good or so i thought! But after having the camera for just over 3 months and having used it no more than 12 times a lens control error message spelled the end for my camera. Dead! Gone! I am now the proud owner of a fuji paperweight! As for any help i.e. a refund or replacement from the retailer,(not AMAZON). FORGET IT! And same negative response from the manufacturer ... At the time I purchased, the reviews I saw were over-complimentary, perhaps the earlier cameras took better pictures, the recent batch are nowhere near crisp enough to warrant such a huge cumbersome camera. Sent mine back to be checked and it was returned with advice about unsharp mask software enhancement. Poor show Fuji, I am seriously thinking about selling this and looking for a different model. Ironically, the reviews I saw said macro photography was not its strong point, well, of course that was the first thing I checked and to me it seems to be its strongest point, and as I was satisfied with that, trusted that the rest would be fine, when I did test and was disappointed, the free return period had ended. I regret buying this case as it is too small for the actual camera and you have terrible problems fighting to get the camera and its strap in and out. The case has its own strap. A better design would lay the camera across, rather than have to put it in on its side and would make use of the camera strap. Everytime you take the camera out, you are left with the problem of trying to hold the case.

I bought this camera for my husband for his birthday, and he absolutely loves it. It is perfect for what he wants to do, which is just to enjoy photography without all the technical stuff. I was a little concerned at first because one of the other reviews said that the instruction manual was in French, but mine wasn't. The camera is extemely easy to use, and my husband has already taken many photos. it was well worth the price, and I believe this camera will last us well through the years. One of the things that most impressed my husband was the many different modes that you can take pictures in allows a lot of photographic ability and diversity. it definitely deserves 5 stars.

Does this camera come with a battery, I am on my second one from Amazon and there has not been a battery in either box !!!!
