I really like this camera - it's my first digital camera and I've found it easy to use but with lots of features. Batteries last reasonably well, the zoom is fairly good, and the screen is nice and big. Images are good quality - even at full screen size on my computer they're sharp. For the price, it's fantastic.

I am using it with the Garmin IQue 3600 PDA with built in GPS navigation system. The card is certainly reliable and the speed is OK. I haven't tried any other card so I can't say exactly how good the speed is compared to others. It does take a while (a few minutes) to load heavy map files (more than a 100MB) from the computer to the card using the PDA. But it works fine when using it in the PDA for in car navigation (when it reads maps from the card and displays on screen ) and for playing and recording Audio. So I have no regrets about buying this

Having enjoyed photography for a number of years I recently thought I would give Digital photography a go . I purchased a cannon powershot A20 from Amazon.co.uk which came with a 8mb compact flash card . Excitingly I set off to try out my new camera but found the results poor . Firstly I could only take 8 pictures on maximum resolution and the response time was slow . When I took a picture of my grandson on a swing the swing actually completed one revolution in between pushing the button and the shutter closing . The camera was consigned to the draw and I went back to 35 mm . My story does not end there though because I recently purchased a Fuji 512 MB Compact Flash card x 20 speed . I have owned this camera for a few years now and find it can be extremely frustrating. Landscapes and stills tend to be brilliant but trying to take photos of my son can prove to be difficult. The slightest movement will cause a blurred picture as there is a delay between you pressing the button and it actually taking a photo. Numerous sporting photos have been taken and deleted due to the subject having moved completely out of shot by the time the camera has decided to take the picture (even in sports mode). To summise, this camera is great if you do not need to ever take a picture of anything which is likely to move.
