They both feel and look amazing! I was a bit worried that it wouldn't look as good opposed to a proper CD/DVD label printer, but they are just too expensive and this does the job exactly the same (if not better!) with just a bit more manual labour involved. It also collaborates brilliantly with "Disc Cover" the CD/DVD label design software for mac, also available on Amazon. To get the whole package of CD/DVD labeling equipment, I would recommend: "Disc Cover", the label design software. The one thing I found most valuable on this shredder it that it practically never jams - one I had before was a constant hassle to get the paper unstuck, to the point it had become unusable. I have had the P-40 for a couple of years now and it has practically never jammed: I use it pretty extensively (I have a home office) and shred all paper that has my name/address on it, and other stuff too (including credit cards) and it never let me down. A real joy to use and totally hassle-free - very warmly recommended.

The dimensions are 36cm height by 36x26cm. It is a little bigger than it could be but for me this isn't a big problem. The build quality is pretty good and it looks stylish. The material is better than those entry models that are made of cheap plastic. It can shred staples and credit cards. The shredded paper size is 4x45mm. It is pretty heavy but this is good since it doesn't fall down if somebody hits it accidentally while walking by. There are some sharp blades that you can see when you take off the top from the case but it has a sensor that cuts off electricity when you open it. I bought this product for my laptop so as I can work at home. To my dismay I found that it was not high enough. Ended up buying the kensington easy rider which is cheaper and far more adjustable. It is ok if you are not that tall or your table is high. Else it is a waste of money. You have been warned!

Same experience as the earlier reviewer, coped with occasional shredding well but stopped working within 12 months with only the reverse mode available.

I bought this shredder after it was recommended in Which? magazine. It still works beautifully after one year of use and, having previously destroyed two cheaper shredders over a six month period, I would highly recommend this brand. However, this particular model contains a design flaw. The basket where the shredded paper goes is not solid. White dust therefore billows out of it as you shred. I now shred using a mask to prevent the white dust from causing me breathing difficulties. Do yourself a favour and buy a model with a solid basket. I will be doing so when this one eventually gives out.
