81.Foot Pod from: Garmin
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Electronics : Foot Pod
After getting the Foot Pod out of the box, you take your laces out of one of your running shoes feed them through the Foot Pod and press and hold the button of the front and you are away. The Forerunner detects the unit and asks if you would like to use it and if you would like to calibrate it.

Calibration is easy (although I havent done it yet!), find your nearest 400m running track press start, run 800m and press stop (on the Forerunner) input your measurement and you are calibrated. Even without calibration it is 97% accurate. Its great that I can now run on my treadmill and input all of my runs on SportsTracks and Garmin training Center. Now we aree coming up to Spring/Summer I think that I will be rarely using it, but if it ... Read More:

Electronics : GARMIN - Case for GPS60/60CX/CSX/MAP60
It fits like a glove, seems sturdy, and looks fairly good. You do have to unscrew the belt clip peg to easily take the case off, and it does block access to the battery cover and USB ports; however, the belt clip peg unscrews easily, and how often will you need to do this on the hill if you look after the batteries? Using the buttons through a thick lump of plastic can make them a little more unresponsive, but not annoyingly so, especially when you consider that the same bit of plastic is saving the screen from damage.

The negative comments here and elsewhere made me hold off buying one until I saw one in the flesh. If you want to protect your GPS60 from knocks, you can pick one of these up for ~£14; I'm pleased with mine. Three ... Read More:

Not quiet the finished article , but when loaded with the appropriate maps,(the base map is worse than useless) its a great navigation tool.

The plus points, as mentioned above are the battery life, the easy of fitting to the bike and the accuracy. You can insert a new waypoint without actually goung there if you have the lat/ long co ordinates as there is the facility to change the details of any waypoint.

Shame you cant plan a route as you can on the Quest, but its the best bike navigator/ speedo/ altimeter etc!
