I bought one of these units at the beginning of the year and regret the purchase. When it's plugged into the PC it diverts all sound through it and it sounds awful, very tinny. Sounds like a speaker in a baked bean tin. I didn't bother trying to use it with Skype this way. When operating, i.e. switching on/off, emits a very grating high volume series of bleeps that are not controlled by the volume buttons. After a while the battery ran down and I charged it up via a USB /car adapter but now I can't switch it off fully and the battery runs down by the next day. I didn't buy it from Amazon and am now trying to get a refund from the supplier.
