this is a real gem i love it my car journeys are not the same without it the sound quality is really good yes there may be a few buzzes in the background but when the music is on you wont be able to hear it.

I have been using this product with a IPhone 3G in a Honda Civic in the Belfast area. The unit looks smart, appears to be sturdy and the functionality is relatively easy to pick up. The auto scan is very quick, and the resulting radio reception is very good indeed. I did not have to tinker with this in any way as mentioned by a previous reviewer. However I have no way of telling if this is limited to the area in which I am using it. When I first plugged it into my IPhone 3G, the IPhone told me that this device was not designed for the IPhone and asked me if I wanted to switch to aeroplane mode. After spending a while trying to decide which of the many iTrip variations would be most useful, I decided on this one as I thought it would give me the option to charge my iPod on the go as well as listen to my music. Well, in fairness to Griffin and Amazon, the item was delivered on time, and it works perfectly well - good clear reception and easy to set up. My only gripes would be that a) the power supply fits quite loosely into the cigarette lighter, and occaisionally falls out, and b) you must ALWAYS have it plugged into the cigarette lighter for it to work. I thought it would be optional, and that if it wasn't plugged in it would draw power from the iPod, but this is not the case - as soon as the cigarette lighter is unplugged, the whole thing ... As a new to the gym and new to Ipod girl, I searched the web for such a product as this and found the perfect answer on Amazon. I wanted an armband that would allow me to see the screen on my Nano2G, and also have access to plug in my charger and ipod FM radio without taking it out of the sleeve.(Obviously I wasn't charging it while wearing it!) A bonus, which was also worthwhile, is the cord storage, to wind round and secure the extra length on the headphone lead, which is in an attractive orange, and looks like a long toggle. This is easy to set up and sturdy and after having been dismally disappointed with a rival product (albeit not an auto scan model) I was prepared to be disappointed - not a bit of it - so far it has been great.

I bought this to hold my ipod shuffle whilst I run. I know that the shuffle itself has a clip, but I find it difficult to clip it high enough up my clothing to avoid having yards of wire dangling about whilst I run. It's also handy to have the shuffle somewhere it's easy to skip tracks and adjust volume, rather than clipped to the back of my shorts. In retrospect I would have preferred a plastic node to wrap the spare wire round, but in the end I just wrap it round the armband itself. All told, a useful little item that's well made and easily adjustable. (A word of warning - if you're like me, you'll need to wash it regularly and it will attach itself to your sports socks.)

I bought this as a secondary unit to an iTALKonline transmitter, and while I have probably been spoilt by that piece of kit, I honestly wasn't expecting the Roadtrip to be as bad as it is. Firstly, the basic fitting is not quite long enough to fit into the cigarette lighter and allow me to actually see and use the ipod. Due to the angle of the socket in my car (Audi TT), the ipod ends up pointing towards the floor, making it difficult to change tracks etc. Also, the extension arm supplied is way too long and the unit is too heavy to be supported safely by it, leaving it sticking out too far and waggling around. After looking for a splitter I came across this one, that thankfully, has separate volume controls (had been wondering whether these had been made. No I don't get out much). Neat. I suggest that if you do not own in-earphones then you should purchase a pair as I tested the sound quality of my headphones and found that even with the volume control up to the max the sound was very poor. Absoulutely perfectly the same quality if you were to plug your earphones straight into your ipod/MP3. Maybe it was just my headphones, I don't know...yet. The packet says for all ipods but I've just purchased a Sony MP3 and plugs in like a dream.
